We stayed here for 4 nights (me and my wife) and were greeted by Mustapha. We were given Moroccan tea and shortbread on arrival before being shown to our room (red room). The building itself is stunning and you get a real feel for Morocco with its traditional decor. The area is a bit daunting as its just outside the palace walls, there is a 10/15 min walk through an area that is really busy with traffic and no pavements and not a lot of tourists are ever here. This bit can be quite intimidating, that is not the Riads fault but it was a concern for me while staying here. A taxi/Tuk Tuk from the main square will set you back around 50/60 Dhm so thats not too bad.
I had read that the Riad has a resident Cat (Max) which i was not keen about as i am not a fan of cats! This was not a problem as Max keeps himself to himself and will only come over if you call him and didn't bother anyone!... I actually ended up kind of liking him! lol

+ Points

+ Very good value for money
+Cracking nights sleep
+ Good quality Moroccan breakfast served every morning
+ Special shout out to Mustapha and the staff who really go that extra mile for their guests, Nothing was too much trouble. Mustapha even had dinner ready for us when we came back from a day trip. Top notch!
+Larger than average shower room and living area
+ Decorated to high standard with authentic Moroccan decor which was really nice!

+/- Although the in house meals are high quality, I did feel they were quite expensive at 18 euro pp

- Ponts

- The area isn't the nicest to walk around, esp at night (a taxi to main square isnt expensive though)
- Although the room has a security safe box, This wasn't bolted down meaning your stuff was safe...but you could walk out the door with it under your arm! I think it would be best if bolted down.

In all we loved our stay at this Riad, the only downside i felt was the area it was in but this would not put me off staying again. Highly recommended!

Thanks again guys! Merci!

First of all....all Europeans and Americans might be scared about small, hidden and dark streets, away from main roads. This is where the Riad is ...but...it is in Marrakech....not in any western city ! This means that in spite of what seems hostile....it is NOT. It is VERY SAFE instead. The place is simple and decorated with typical tools and instruments. If you want a simple and comfortable place where to stay this is for you, if you are after a red carpet, purr, and bows , well go in a 5 stars hotel. I liked staying here, was first upset about no TV but this turned out to be a VERY GOOD thing, I could sleep and forget about home problems. This is what holidays' about in the end. The Riad is 15 minutes away from center souk (do NOT pay attention to ANYBODY when you walk....it is not dangerous but you can manage alone the right way and it is very safe everywhere). No place you can eat nearby (apart from local shop) apart from city center (souk). Anyway I liked the place and the staff...very discreet. I had a shisha at the hotel, it costed maybe too much but was good. Would returned if visitig the souk.

We received a welcome email when we booked and arranged an airport pickup & dinner on our first night.
The transfer wad well worth the money, driver took us straight to the door, which is off the beaten track. The riad is simply beautiful. It is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We were greeted by the owner who provided us with refreshments and a detailed map of the area along with directions ( which were invaluable)! The location is ideal, close enough to walk to all the main attractions, quiet in the evenings. Dinner was amazing! Breakfast was delicious & freshly made. The roof top hot tub was the icing on the cake after a very long day! The staff were amazing, couldnt have done more for us!
Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

This was our first time out of the comfort of Europe and we were pretty nervous. However, right from the start, the Riad were amazing - from the welcome email after booking right through to our arrival and departure, they couldn't do enough for us. We decided to take up their offer of a transfer to get us there which, although priced highly it is not too much for the peace of mind of knowing that you will be met at the airport and taken to the door with no trouble. Upon arrival we were given "moroccan whisky" or traditional mint tea which was very welcome. Our room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. It was winter so they had provided us with extra blankets and a fan heater! We booked dinner at the Riad that night as we weren't sure about restaurants in the city. As we were the only ones there that evening, it really felt like we had invited our own private chef to serve us dinner in our own home. Again, there will always be cheaper options out there but really for such personal service, prices are not out of the way. The Riad is about 20 mins from the Jemaa al-Fnaa but if you just go to the main road and remember 'Right, Right, Left' then you will be in a city. You will have to dodge mopeds and there are occasionally no pavements but you really do get a sense of the real Marrakesh - and despite the craziness, remember just as you don't want to be run over, the Moroccans also have no desire to write-off their prized moped or spend time inside for causing death by dangerous driving either so just go with the flow! As we had a crazy early Ryanair flight home and breakfast wasn't until 8:30, they got up especially early and did us breakfast before normal service. The only thing missing being the orange juice as the orange trader hadn't arrived yet! Could not fault the service at all. Especially nice is the roof terrace with sun loungers, Berber shelter and hot tub. perfect way to spend an evening after a long day in the Souks. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a week at the start of February.
Could not ask for anything more during our stay. Nothing was to much of a problem, when we asked for help or advice we was greeted with information and politeness.

Room was fantastic, Mustafa is a legend and so helpful.
Thanks for an amazing time spent in a truly traditional riad.

And can't forget Max the house cat.
