Difficult to find but shown on the Rough Guide map. Go up to the man in the red cloak standing 150 yards away on the corner, he will guide you the last bit. Wonderful impressive building and ambience. No coach parties when we were there. You can wander up to the roof terrace. Standard Moroccan meal, we had the 350 dirhams 3 courses which includes an aperitif and half a bottle of house wine each. 12 appetisers, choice of 2 main courses and puddings, petits four and mint tea. You go not so much for the food, which was fine, but the impressive building and imposing Moroccan atmosphere. Quite good value. We couldn't get through on the phone, we had to ask our riad to book (March 2012).

The place is not easy to be found, but it deserves the efforts.
Good moraccan food in a small riad full of charme, the service is quite professional and the prices are not expensive.
I will be here again on my trip back from Essaouira to UK

We ate at this restaurant on New Year's Eve, and were very impressed by the beautiful interior . On arrival, we were invited to look around the top floor and roof terrace of the building, which has lovely views. The restaurant is based around a small central courtyard with smaller rooms off to the sides. Each side room has 3 or 4 tables which makes for a nice private dining experience.

We had a set menu, and the food was very nice (especially the briouettes and salads) though not quite up to the standard of Le Tobsil which we'd visited the night before. That said, Ksar Es Saoussan is cheaper and good value for money. Dinner was accompanied by live music and the waiters delivered excellent service. Highly recommended.

The Ksar itself was a beautiful building, lovingly restored and very atmospheric.

The food was excellent and lots of it. The standard of service was impeccable. The restaurant is very hard to find in the Medina but we were met en route by a staff member who also walked us back again after the meal.

We thoroughly recommend this restaurant to visitors to Marrakesh for the true flavour of the country.
