The grounds of this hotel were beautiful, with an avenue of rose bushes as you walked to your room. They were all immaculately maintained by the garden staff. The quiet pool was more to our liking and any children were quickly sent packing if they decided to use it!!!!! The rooms were plenty big enough with a shower / wash area and a separate toilet.. The restaurant was quite large and this made it a bit noisey at the busiest times. There was plenty of variety of food and it was always very well displayed, but it wasn't always hot enough for our liking. There was usually a chef cooking fresh fish, meat or burgers and at breakfast they cooked omelettes or fried eggs.

I stayed a week as part of the tour I took with RSD Travel. The weeks stay was supposedly the 'free week in Marrakesh' which followed the weeks tour. This did not prove to be free, neither was it in Marrakesh, but 15 kilometres away.
It was not a hotel I would ever have chosen. The majority of guests were French families, who did appear to be enjoying themselves, but it was not for me. All animation was in French. Although the buffet food was acceptable and nicely presented we dined in what was a canteen. Unless you arrived early you did not have the paper place mat, knife and fork and glass and had to go in search.
As a positive the gardens are magnificent. We arrived when all the roses were in perfect condition and the pathways were enchanting. The hotel is organised in riad formation, I was in a ground floor room which was basic but neat tidy and kept clean, but it was 320 paces away from reception, bar and dining room and was a bit too far is you had left your book!
There is a shuttle bus which runs regularly into Marrakesh, this has to be pre-booked in advance, both ways and cost 20 dirham each way. Two pools are inviting, although one is a family pool the other is for adults only.

Room Tip: Highr number rooms are further away from receopton, bar and dining areas

The hotel is used by a number of mass tourist operators, with the result that the guests have different views on what is good. We came across a number of people who had to move to another room because of a number of issues with the air conditioning, hygiene or faulty doors. We almost moved because the air conditioning stopped working, with a block of ice missing my wife by a whisker. We were offered a new room but when we went to look at it the key did not work. It was so late at night that we decided to stay put and the next day the air con was fixed. The food seemed OK at the beginning of our week there but then got worse. There is an ice cream station but not all the time. The food is varied and the staff are friendly and try their best. The trouble is that the maintenance at the rest of the hotel is not up to standard. The rooms are comfortable, with good television reception (including CNN). There is only washing gel and shampoo that is dispenses from a machine both at the wash basin and in the shower. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which is a useful feature. There are three pools, one is an inside pool of around 12.5 metres.
The staff try their best at entertaining the guests and frankly at the price it is not too bad, There is a shuttle bus service to Marrakech and a number of outside activities such as spending a night at the Berber camp in the Sahara. The all inclusive is slightly bizarre as it does include espresso coffee or fresh squeezed oranges. The oranges in Morocco are absolutely deliciously so peel them and continue savouring a wonderful fruit.

Hotel is VERY tired, needs updating, URGENTLY. Gardens, fantastic, Ducks , pea hens, wonderful, Get your towels on the beds early, or forget it !!! Lunch is certainly worth missing, Dinner is a better choice, All inclusive is a bit of a joke, extra for Orange juice, coffee, and the Hamman, WHY ?? Drink as much as you can to blot out the bad experiences, and you will survive.

Room Tip: Sorry but take your chance !! Get the suites that are available, IF you make a BIG fuss.

Visited in November 2016 with two sisters.
Room was ok, a bit tired. Ground floor, with a terrace overlooking pool bar/cafe.
Check in was a little difficult due to translation, but, hey, being English, we could try harder to learn some phrases...so I'll take responsibility for that!
Hotel mainly caters to the French (from France!) That comment was not a criticism)
Food was ok, plenty of it, but everything seemed to be lukewarm. We could not figure out how the service worked in the restaurant/buffet...we were told we couldn't have water, then we could, we never got any alcohol with our meal despite asking! It was very bizarre!
There didn't seem to be any consideration by other guests for queuing...(sorry, not sorry, I'm British, we queue!!)
Couldn't get coffee after certain times, which seemed a little odd to me!
Entertainment team were very friendly and always said hello, and some even remembered we weren't French, which I found quite nice...attention to detail.
There were some members of staff who went out of their way to help...some didn't!
We generally felt a little ostracised, but that could be due to language barriers...see above comment!
Shuttle bus available for 20 dirhams (each way), you have to pre book both legs of the journey, but it does make visiting Marrakesh a little easier.
Absolutely loved the madness of Marrakesh, crossing a road is an achievement, and we laughed so much (possibly in disbelief and relief at having made it).
Would recommend Marrakesh, and the Moroccan's in general are charming, but the hotel was a mixed bag, some good, some bad. So I'd probably opt to stay elsewhere when I return (because I do hope I will!)
