Just arrived back 2 days ago from Al-Bakesh Riad with my son, been to Marrakesh twice and this was the first time I stayed in a Riad and was not disappointed. Upon arrival we were greeted by Adam the Boss and were given a refreshing mint tea.
The staff were all very attentive and made us feel at home. Breakfast was nice a decent array of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs/omelettes, pancakes, croissants and your choice of a hot drink (we always went for the mint tea).
The Riad had a cozy feel to it, our room was spacious with a TV and separate toilet/sink and shower room which reminded me of a hammam layout very nice.
The area was about 8-10 Taxi ride from the Main Sqaure and Jama al Fana, I noticed it was best to book a taxi through reception staff that way the Taxi drivers did not try to get more out of us (average during the day 30-40 dirhams and 40-50 dirhams in the evening (which is roughly about £5-£8)). The Riad had an average size pool which was ideal to cool down during mid afternoon especially after missions in the sun and ok for a swim.
We felt safe; in the evenings the main front doors was kept locked so we had to knock on the door to get entry. across from the hotel was a Plaza and it was bigger than what I expected, its 3 floors and a the top floor there are many eateries such as Burger King/Pizza Hut/Dominios, Italian restaurant, cafes, Asian and Moroccan, this saved us some trips to the main square or anywhere else when buying food and the bottom floor had a massive store similar to Asda/Walmart.
on the right of the hotel is a cinema with international movies (Hollywood and Bollywood, I got a feeling they are dubbed in Arabic or French?
overall had a pleasant time was calming coming back from the craziness of the square.

The place is beautiful and very tranquil a really lovely place to relax. The rooms are very clean and they serve a great breakfast. You won't be disappointed in your stay and will have a fabulous holiday. Can't wait to go back again.

This was our first time in Marrakech, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The hotel is in a quiet area but taxis are cheap, so its really easy to get around. Albakech house is a small Moroccan hotel with fantastic staff..nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was delicious, Amen was so helpful. I can't say enough about this hotel.
A big thank you to Adam and all his staff.

I can't begin to describe how wonderful our experience at this hotel was. From the minute we walked in we were treated like royalty and I've honestly never felt more at home. Adam the owner is very nice and made sure we were all comfortable. Our receptionist Amine was fantastic, he did absolutely everything he could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He (along with the night receptionist Mohammed) were open books and more than happy to fill us in on the culture and educate us on the religion/lifestyle in Marrakech. All the staff are fluent in English and French and will go out of their way to make sure you do not have to move a muscle. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and had a lovely Moroccan vibe. The pool area was very quiet and intimate, perfect for relaxing. The breakfasts we were given in a morning were beautiful, the ladies made sure you were full and really did treat you like royalty. All the staff here were truly exceptional and they made our stay one to remember. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel as soon as possible. Thank you Adam and your team for this wonderful Moroccan experience, best hotel I have ever been to
