Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

The Jardin Majorelle is a great stop during a day of touring Gueliz and Ville Nouvelle. In a city dominated by sandy-colored buildings and buzzing mopeds, the bright colors and blooming gardens are a welcome reprieve. The gardens are shady and cool but the tourist hordes make it anything but calming.

While we were there, a gardener had to SCREAM and a wad of eldery Chinese ladies to get out of the roped off gardens. They absolutely knew (we saw them peering around for security) they weren't supposed to be stomping around the flora, but they did it anyway just so to get a picture of them and their visors amongst the flowers they couldn't name... *sigh*

We only went to the gardens and did not pay the extra to go into the Museum, where Yves St Laurent lived. Long queue to get in, and once inside the gardens were very busy. They were though stunning. The gift shops were, well, what you might expect of the name! Same went for the cafe. We had a coffee across the road. And getting a taxi was easy. Yes, happy we went overall for an hour

What an oasis in this city! Very relaxing and inspiring. We loved taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the Medina and found it very refreshing and relaxing

An oasis in the midst of Marrakesh but unfortunately it is overrun by tourists and it offers very little except good photo opportunities . A lot of hype but YSL and Pierre Berge had a great vision
