My wife and I wanted to get away to the sun at short notice and found ourselves at Riad Monika. I work in hospitality and can say from extensive experience that Zohair and his team are superb. For most of our 5 day stay we were the only guests and felt completely relaxed and at home. The service was the perfect balance of discretion and attention. Nothing was too much trouble. A trip to the sahara was organised at the drop of a hat and the one evening meal we had at the Riad was excellent, as were the breakfasts. We will certainly be back - Insha'Allah

Had an excellent stay here! The riad was absolutely beautiful -- a 3 year restoration project with attention to every detail. The staff, especially Zohair, was so friendly and helpful. With so few rooms in the riad, it's like living in your own palace. Breakfast every morning on the terrace, in the beautiful sunshine. MUST have dinner at the riad -- the most amazing meal and ambiance! The calmness and beauty of the riad helped us to adjust to Marrakech (a beautiful city with a lot of charm but can be overwhelming at first). I hope to return to Marrakech and will definitely stay at Riad Monika again. Best hotel experience I've ever had.

I stayed here with a group of 6 girls and we took over the whole riad. Zohir (the manager) took great care of us. He ensured that a guide took us from A to B, he even would walk us 500 yards to the taxi waiting at the bottom of the road. We felt safe and nothing was too much trouble. He respected our privacy when we were sunbathing on the roof top and anything we needed was provided. Having travelled the world(through work mainly) I have never experienced anything like it.
The riad is just beautiful and every room is tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are beautiful with marble sunked baths.
Location is perfect, right near the medina.
I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

In all the above reviews the beauty and elegance of the Riad have been amply expressed by other guests.
And rightly so.
But what made our visit an unforgettable one, was the welcome we received and the hospitality we enjoyed in the Riad. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Where the hot bustle (and sometimes just madness) of the médina can be a bit of a culture shock, Riad Monika feels like a cool and relaxing oasis, where the only worry you may have is making sure you arrive at the breakfast table on the rooftop or at the candle-lit dinner table at the pool. No need to arrive on time, just arrive ....
I will definitely return, if not for Marrakech, then definitely for this Riad.

We stayed at Riad Monika during the first week of August, it was a truly amazing place with incredibly helpful staff. Having come from a dusty alleyway, you step through the doorway into a calm oasis. Upon our arrival we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits and made to feel very welcome, the manager kindly advised us of trips that the riad could organise and if we needed any help with anything during our stay we need only ask.

Our room was absolutely incredible, spacious and air conditioned with a safe to store our valuables. There was fresh fruit and water which was replaced daily and the bathroom was beautiful and very spacious with shampoo's, soaps, toothpastes, bath robes and a hairdryer.

Breakfast every morning was delicious, there was so much on offer and we were stuffed afterwards that we didn't eat again until around 4pm every day. We ate two meals at the riad which were both incredible, we ate out once at Le Foundouk which was a two minute walk from the riad and also offered really nice food. Location wise, the riad was perfectly situated; two minutes walk away from three of the major attractions including Ben Youssef and the souks and very safe.

The pool was lovely and the rooftop terrace was a really nice place to relax in the evenings and overlooked the medina with a view of the Atlas Mountains in the distance. The whole riad has been impressively renovated and is maintained to the highest standard.

Overall 10/10, we would definitely come back here.
