The house is well positioned being located in the old town but just beyond the craziness of the souks and has been sensitively restored. Most days breakfast consisted of a selection of breads and pancakes, home made jams, a mild cream cheese, coffee and juice. More than enough to set us up for the day. Elena is a lively person, full of stories and opinions about Morocco. She was very welcoming and helpful and took our endless questions in her stride. I would have no hesitation in recommending Riad Salome.
Our hostess gave us very good directions on how to get to the house, and she came out to greet us and show us in. We loved the authentic layout of the Riad, and how the house was restored to be very similar to an original Morroccan Riad of years past. The rooms were clean, airy and spacious.
Our host served us a wonderful Morroccan breakfast every morning, which included breads and rolls fresh and hot, her own homemade jams and tea and coffee.
Our hostess was also helpful with maps and sightseeing ideas in the local area. She can speak a number of languages, which was great for the variety of guests that come.
The only recommendation we had was that there be tea and coffee facilities in the rooms as there was no access to a relaxing cuppa at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Our host agreed to incorporate that into her rooms.
