We had a very quick one night visit to Tangier from Algercias and stayed nearby in the medina and had lunch here as great views from the restaurant Facture over the harbour.
Our waiter was friendly and spoke english to help us choose a few dishes to enjoy.
After lunch we looked thru the tiled public area of the hotel and visited the antique shop next door.

We had the chance to visit this beautiful hotel. Unfortunately we could not overnight there. But we will do so asap. The hotel has so many expensive furniture and you feel like in 1001 night. The overview to the port makes it even more charming. Awesome hotel

Stayed for two nights at the Continental Hotel recently. Wow, what a fantastic location, perched up on the cliff overlooking the harbour and right within the Medina. The actual room was fairly basic but the bathroom modern and all very clean and comfortable. The décor in the public rooms was fantastic, taking you back into another time. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent and the terrace can be used throughout the day for relaxation and taking in the fabulous views. Loved the elderly Moroccan man that we met in reception who showed us a photo of his very handsome father who he was proud to inform us had met Winston Churchill. We had arrived in Tangier by ferry from Spain and this was the perfect location in all respects.

The Hotel Continental is a great historic hotel in the heart of Tangier with views of the harbor. The hotel is easy to find and a short walk from the ferry port even if you are dragging your luggage. It is one of the oldest hotels in Tangier and allows you to "step back in time". (Winston Churchill stayed here decades ago.) The rooms were nice. Not luxurious, but still very comfortable. Good air conditioning. Views of the harbor. No elevator. Staff was nice. The hotel felt very safe. If felt local and Moroccan. Great location to walk around the historic center of Tangier. (Avoid the new hotels that are east of the historic district ... instead stay at the Hotel Continental in the heart of historic Tangier.) And it's very affordable.

Amazing historical hotel on the edge of Medina, facing the port, sea.Nice view. Beautiful architecture, colorful Moroccan design, specially the dining room and its surroundings. Small bazaar shop in the hotel and museum. Very good breakfast on the terrace, good choice, very simple room but with all necessary amenities. A little old fashioned but that's the point of this hotel. Real piece of history.

Minus: room was really simple and not designed like the rest of the hotel, but i wasn't surprised, no hair dryer (but you can ask at the reception to get one)

Room tip: room 202 was very nice
