Description: A bit of history about Le Salon Bleu and The Kasbah Neighbourhood This quaint traditional Moroccan house is situated directly in what used to be the ancient stables of the Sultan`s Palace, and for a long while it had also served as a home for visiting British diplomats. The celebrated 17th century writer Samuel Pepys was notorious for writing endlessy in his journal under the fig tree just next to the small courtyard. Francis Bacon had a painting studio on the same street and the Rolling Stones lived just a stones throw away. The Kasbah has long inspired writers and artists of the twentieth century: Matisse, Delacroix, Kerouac, Jean Genet, William Burroughs, Paul Bowles... so we`ve opened up this small salon and restaraunt so that you may drink coffee and enjoy the ocean view while resting in their proverbial ribcages. Le Salon Bleu has been highly recommended by the international press and tour guides: New York Times, Le Monde, Liberation, Le Figaro, Lonelyplanet, Guide du Routard, Guide Michelin, Elle, Marie-Claire, L'Officiel, Vogue...

Right next to Kashab from a side street, it was perfect to chill on rooftop sofa, sip mint tea with a wonderful view and watch the sun go down. People working there are very cool and friendly.

If you want the great views of the city, you need to head to the roof where it gets a bit cramped quickly. But the couches downstairs are comfortable and still get a nice vibe overlooking a small courtyard in the heart of the Medina.

Our server was very polite and timely once they opened for lunch. Would recommend the set menu - definitely filling.

Great views across the city and harbour while enjoying local mint tea. Set dinner menus also delicious and accompanied by local cats.

This restaurant is nicely decorated and has some gorgeous views over Tangier Harbour. It was perfect for our first night there. We only had a light snack, salad and hummus, which was a little bland. How they had delicious fresh juices and the service was fine.

The only things I liked bout this place were the view from the kind of tower, and the mixed blue white design. The coffee shop needs some painting, seat are not comfortable except on sofa, which is always taken. The neighbors roofs need some cleaning .. the price Is reasonable, beverage like tea coffee in the 2 €, the waiter was kind of rude when he brought us a wrong order, then he made it up instantly.
