Just stayed two nights at the kati kati camp . Absolutely lovely .the staff were great couldn’t have been more helpful .the showers were great . going to sleep with the animals out side making all the noise .getting up in the morning and opening the tent to see a dazzle of zebra in the sunrise about 50 feet away from you’re tent .what a beautiful world we live in .they have WiFi and u can charge you’re phone in the mess tent .they have a camp fire every night so all visitors sit round and tell what they have seen that day .the beds are so comfortable. And the fresh air knocks you out so you sleep like a log

This chain of tent camps is reportedly as well managed as the one I visited, Kati Kati. The tent was large and the beds/linens quite comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly nice for a tent. The staff was excellent, the food very reasonable, and the setting truly lovely

Room tip: Closer to the dining tent

The staff is great. Simon one of the waiters is the smartest person in whole Tanzania that includes white skin people too. Simon and I had a casual chat and two or three minutes into the conversation he asked me WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO VISIT SERENGETI.

Only a smart person with great sence of curiosity can understand that you need to be inspired by something or by someone to overcome all the challenges and and enjoy being there.

The tents are great, clean, cozy and what an experience to wake up at pre dawn and see the sunrise with the acacia trees in the horizon and seen the hyenas passing by.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

The food is fresh, variated, home-made and warm. Coffee was very good. The lunch boxes are good and by the way the Baboon who attacked us ate Walter's lunch box so that says that the lunch was very appealing.

To be truthful, I was a bit apprehensive about staying at this camp when we pulled into the parking lot. Our travel company had made all our lodging reservations so we did not know where we were staying until we arrived in Africa. We had been staying at lodges for a number of days and were used to a larger location. Our family ended up loving this tent camp. The family tent is huge with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a separate sitting area. The shower is no big deal...if you want more water, you ask for it. Hot water comes out immediately. This intimate location lends itself to meet fellow travelers much easier than at a larger hotel. Food was very good and they have a great charging station set-up for camera batteries, cell phones and laptops.
The staff is very professional yet friendly. I didn't feel like the staff was waiting for their tip like at other hotels. We understand that tipping is important in Africa because of the poor wages but towards the end of our trip we were getting tired of everyone looking for one. Here there wasn't as much pressure. It felt like the staff had a high standard. We were sure to put $$$ in the tip box.
The manager, Richard, makes sure everything is running smoothly and all the guests are taken care of. This ended up being one of my favorite lodges out of the 7 we stayed at. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers!

We spent two nights in Kati Kati tented camp and it was an amazing experience. You sleep in the middle of the Serengeti and its wildlife. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset at the front of a wood fire and then have a good dinner shared with your guide. After dinner, the staff will escort you to your tent in case of uneventful meeting (we were glad to see two hyenas and a rabbit!). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tents are clean and well organized, with hot shower. We recommend this place to everyone spending a night in Serengeti!
