This resort is located inside the Serengeti national park. SecurIty is a concern as the resort has no fencing and hence the hotel staff advise you to call for the security staff every time you wish to leave your room ( during sunset to sunrise).
Sounds exciting but it is hell of a bother as the number of security staff are limited. Many times one has to wait.
The rooms are all separate cottages located among the bushes. Near our room we saw two Dikdiks roaming around the whole day.
The rooms have all amenities and are very comfortable.
Mosquitoes are a menace in Serengeti area. The hotel staff spray the rooms and nicely tuck your walk- in mosquito nets every evening. One must use mosquito repellents / creams or spray while going out. The hotel staff claim that the lounge and dining areas and well protected from mosquitoes.
The food spread during all the meals are good with a lot of varieties of desserts.
They even provide you with breakfast or lunch box if you decide to go for a long game drive.
The stay in the wild is a new experience and this resort gives you full measure.
The persons who stay far away towards the end of the resort are quite annoyed at the distance ( especially during night time).
So the room tip : is ask for a room nearer to the reception. Upper floor rooms are better.
The staff are very good and always helpful. They do try to make life comfortable.

Spent two nights at this lodge and it was a fantastic experience. Lodge is located within the Serengeti National Park so it was very secluded yet secure. The entire lodge complex was constructed as permanent tents atop solid foundations complete with water and electricity. Our tent had large luxurious king sized bed with dressing table, desk, lounge chairs and end tables in the bedroom with separate shower and toilet in bathroom. Solar hot water and solar panels for electricity makes this lodge nearly energy self-sustained. Surrounded by nature you can see and hear animals such as hyenas, baboons, and gazelles throughout the day and night. Thought it might be a bit buggy but we did not experience any mosquitoes but did find a few other non-biting insects. Good buffet in dining rooms with lots of choices for salad, desserts and entrees. Have nightly turn down service and chocolates making going to bed seem luxurious. For those who wish to rough it in style.

Undoubtedly one of the best places to visit in Tanzania, even with so many other beautiful places to go see.
On arrival we were greeted by zebra in front of our room and drinking from the inviting infinity pool. This set the most amazing start to an enjoyable, relaxing and exciting stay.
The facilities are clean and comfortable with gorgeous views from all areas of the lodge. There are so many places to relax and enjoy the views and visitors of the Serengeti, you will definitely want to stay a few days to enjoy all that the lodge has to offer.
The buffet meals are fresh, varied and delicious. The only problem will be making a decision or eating too much.
The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. They made us feel very welcome and looked after, without being overbearing.
We travelled as a family of 10 with preteens and teenagers. We all absolutely loved this place and only wish we could have extended our 3 night stay.

We were in TZ for 7 nights in July 2018 and stayed 6 nights at Serena's chain. The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge was an awesome property - we stayed there for two nights. Our check in was very fast. Our room was high up facing the valley and we can see spectacular sunset from our balcony. The pool's temperature was very comfortable even in July their winter season. After a hot safari day, it is so nice to jump to the pool to cool off. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant offers variety kinds of food. I have special dietary requirements, and never had issue to find something I can eat. It is very peaceful to walk around the property although you do need to call a guard if you want to walk at night. The room is very comfortable and we didn't have issue with mosquito in the room.
