Owner description: With a bell tower that reaches high into the sky, the Cathedral of Asmara is a sterling piece of Lombard-Romanesque architecture and a useful bearing point for lost travelers.

Mostly christians in Eritrea. This church gives the congregation a beautiful place to worship. Bulit by the Italian. Well maintained by the locals. A prominent building in the capital. Easy to locate.

Holy Cow, this place takes up 1/2 a block of the city's prime real estate and makes a bunch of noise to boot. Also the busiest bus stop on the boulevard. Other than that, a place to see poor people looking for hope.

This Cathedral is very old and was built by the Italians when Eritrea was a colony. The exterior and interior are both very beautiful. I used to go to church here often and the priests are very friendly and kind people. My parents ate dinner with the priests. It's been over 7 years since I've last been there but if you're in Asmara this is a must see.
