Had a lovely stay at Etango Ranch recently - Morne was very helpful when I had an airline booking mishap. Lovely surrounds with lots of little critters. Handy to Airport as Windhoek is miles away, comfy rooms

Most people seem to use Etango as a convenient one-night stop before an early flight, which is what we did. It's certainly that but it's worth a longer visit. The grounds are beautiful, including a nice pool and terrace to afternoon or evening refreshments. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The accomodation is located close to the airport which is very convenient to me. There is a pool, the wifi is good. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they can assist with the tours, safaris and transfers.

We stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of our trip and another night at the end because of it's proximity to the airport. The communication with the owners was very good and easy before our arrival. The room was decent and spacious, with a big bathroom and walk-in shower and good AC. They also provided us with fresh lemon water on our first night which was a nice touch.

Our small sink had separate taps for cold and hot water so there was no in between temperatures. The bed linen and towels could be improved. We did find this hotel completely overpriced, it was actually our most expensive hotel during our whole one month stay in Africa (but not the nicest). I feel like they take advantage of the fact that they're one of the only hotels near the airport. Also the transfers to and from the airport are very expensive considering it's only 5 min away (around N200 one way).

The room price included breakfast and dinner. The first night we were arriving a bit later so they told us they would keep a hot plate for us, but this turned out to be a cold piece of bread with salad - very disappointing. The breakfast packs to go weren't very good either. On our 2nd night the dinner was pretty good, it consisted of yummy soup to start, mashed potatoes and meat for the main course, and a weird desert we didn't like much (which made it obvious that on our first night they had not given us the real dinner that they must have served everyone else). I wanted to have dinner in my room as apposed to with the group because I had so much to pack for the next morning, but this was very awkward as my husband had to walk back and forth between each course to bring me my plate. So in conclusion, this was a decent but overpriced stay and there's room for improvement.

It was a very special overnight visit. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Were lucky enough to witness a downpour and went to sleep with the sound of rain clattering on the roof. A good sign tor Namibia
