Windhoek is a nice enough place, although a tad quiet for a capital city. We opted to stay at the Game Camp rather than in Windhoek and enjoyed it.
We were in Tent 3 which was very well laid out, extremely comfortable and with a very serene outlook, particularly for an awesome sunset.
The braai was very functional and sitting on the verandah after dinner looking at the night sky was very peaceful.
The Camp pool was small but very refreshing. Some sun loungers would be even better.
If you don't set your game expectations to safari level, you will enjoy the animals. We think we walked pretty much the whole property and saw the giraffes and a family of warthogs as well as lots of birdlife.
The resident golden retriever is beautifully friendly and decided to sleep on our verandah all night long which was very cute as we love dogs and were missing ours.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
We would very happily return any time.More
