We stayed here on our previous visit to Windhoek so knew more or less what to expect. This time we spent two nights to sort out our suitcases after a camping tour of Namibia. Staff were cheerful and helpful and we were able to relax beside the pool in the pretty garden with loads of bird-life. Lots of cats, but they were not bothersome, and didn't catch any birds! Our room was comfortable and roomy, but the bathroom was disappointing as the shower didn't work at all well, and useless for washing hair! Or anything else fr that matter! Breakfast adequate, but the dining room is very hot and airless.

Room Tip: choose a room on the ground floor to take advantage of the garden and pool.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Pension Moni, at the end of a holiday in Namibia, following the recommendation of friends.

Hotel Pension Moni was a nice small hotel, the rooms opening directly onto a quiet backyard / garden with a lawn and a pool. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, the staff very helpful when we had questions or additional wishes.

The property is secure (wall, closed gate; guests get a key for the gate) and within easy walking distance to Windhoek's centre (Independence Avenue, all the main sights); for shopping Maerua Mall and Maerua Superspar is just ten minutes in foot away.

The only - very minor - point that could be improved in my opinion is the lighting in the rooms: there are several lamps that offer "mood lighting" (i.e., the light is fairly dim), which creates a nice atmosphere, but for packing and unpacking one bright overhead light would be helpful.

Overall a clear recommendation from me and many thanks for the friendly and helpful staff at Hotel Pension Moni - it is, after all, people who make any stay truly pleasant.

overall the stay served my purpose as it was close to my place of work.
The room was clean and satisfactory.(had to scrounge coffee, milk and sugar from the kitchen one night). attention to detail!
The wifi was up and down which did irritate.
The gate control to the property could have been improved by issuing me with a key fob for access/exit
Breakfast was adequate but the coffee needs improvement (i enjoy good coffee).
A lack of restaurants area is a challenge otherwise i will stay their again if work is close by.

We expected a much better place, but unfortunately the only thing that was special was the price: extremely high for a place with small rooms, no airco, a small and dirty pool and a shabby garden. Incredible that it had still so many visitors. Do not go here, in the neighbourhood you have much better places and cheaper. 75 euro for a room in a country as Namibia and quite far fromthe center.

This "hotel" is definitely overpriced, what with no air conditioners, unkempt pool, showers not working in some rooms, and untrained reception staff. I am surprised at the seemingly large number of patrons, sine the place is not cheap!

Room Tip: Avoid staying here if you can!
