The hotel is located a bit outside of Kampala on a hill. The view on the lake and the city is beautiful, but the hotel is far from the city center.
There is no air conditioning, only fans.
The food is mainly Ethiopian and pretty good.
The room was OK, except the bed which was VERY hard and the shower which was mouldy and smelly.
OK for a stopover when arriving in Uganda or leaving.

The room was adequate for a two night stay but the shower did not work. The water trickled at best and the tile around the controls was broken. Not really a cause for complaint; we managed. But it was annoying. Breakfast was basic but adequate, and the views of Lake Victoria compensated for the cold shower. Staff are friendly.

Arrived here without a reservation after long flight. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Buffet breakfast was basic but good. On site restaurant had delicious meals and outdoor seating. Enjoyed light show from thunderstorms in area while eating dinner. View of Kampala and Lake Victoria is awesome.

Room Tip: Our second floor room had great view and was very quiet

The best thing about Cassia Lodge is the views of the lake and the quiet surroundings. Seriously great setting. It's also easy enough to get into town - reception can help but we just took Bodhas (sit on the back of a blokes bike) - cost about 10,000 shillings.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Whilst the $ rate seems high I guess that's what you have to pay to get a reasonable level of accomodation.

Food also on the pricey side but reasonable quality.

Welcomed with a smile. Courtesy is the yardstick in they measure themselves. Enjoyed laughs with the staff and shared some beautiful sunrises. This gem overlooking Lake Victoria is breathtakingly beautiful. It's amazing how it takes smiles and courtesy to make a customer happy. I can recommend Cassia Lodge anytime to my friends visiting Kampala. Thank you to Calystus for driving us to the airport at 3:30am. For those those coming for business you can sit on the porch. There's also wifi connectivity, this place was excellent. The food was always fresh. Place made out of smiling faces .
