The asparagus soup was delicious and full of flavor.

The lamb shank was heavenly and so tender.

Sautéed spinach was executed perfectly.

Nice beans and potatoes.

Great service.

Reasonable prices.

The hotel has three restaurants, all luxury ones. We went to the nepalese restaurant. There is a fixed menu with six courses (ca $40), the main one being a dal bhat. Quality of everything was very high, and the service was top notch. Wines on the menu were correct. Overall we had a lovely evening, our last nigh in Nepal before leaving. However I must admit, the best dal bhat were eaten during our trek where while home staying.

The hotel of hotels and without a doubt the best in Nepal.

Loved it, from dreamlike rooms, amazing architecture, professional staff, interessting menu and the whole ambience is just mindblowing!

Its worth the trip just to experience it once!

This a beautiful hotel
The amount of antique art on the walls, doors, around the windows and practically everywhere is astounding.. everything blends in beautifully creating a work of art
The hotel is quiet, relaxing and the service is perfect
Rooms are large and clean; the bed is comfortable and the AC works
The hot water in the bathroom is reliable and most toiletries are specially made and good quality
The “ soft underbelly “ of the hotel seems to be the food
I say “ seems “ instead of “ is “ because I haven’t tried either the Japanese restaurant nor the fancy Nepali one
Very limited breakfast options .. at this price level probably the most limited I have ever seen
Limited, pricey and not very remarkable dinner ..
in conclusion, I give it 5 stars for the very exceptional artistic quality and relaxing atmosphere and I recommend it .. but if you are a “ foody “ you probably would do better eating somewhere else
I cannot have a clear opinion about the prices or quality of the objects offered in the hotel store
One of the stores offers mountain goat cashmere items, very nice, at a price that is much higher than the Mongolian cashmere in Mongolia

If fine dining is your thing and money is not an issue then this is the best place. The staff were welcoming and food is out of the world.
