I recently visited to Pashupatinath temple In Kathmandu. Temple is very beautiful, also the incarnation is taken place behind the temple. When I was in Kathmandu the temperature was very cold which was around 14 degree celcius in the morning. I really feel very pleasant atmosphere. Also I visited narayanhiti durbar but unfortunately it is closed on Tuesday & Wednesday so I missed. I will again visit to this place.

Thank Meena B

It costs 1000rupees to get in and you a double side printed pamphlet telling you all about the significance of the temple and some amazing stories about Shiva etc. We spent ten mins reading all this and walked along the banks of the river where cremations are being carried out and reach the temple just to be told that non hindus are not allowed.
We felt that this was very calculated in getting foreigners to pay huge amounts and giving all this information about a temple that you can't even visit. We were very disappointed as were other tourists in the place.
It would have been nice to know this fact BEFORE purchasing a ticket.

The place is very good for hindu believers as well as others . Some of the places are restricted for believers of other religions. The place is perfect to visit and changes the spirit of everyone by the view of buring corpse by the bank of Bagmati river.

The entire complex is quite big but it's its actually easy to get around it. And don;t get impacted by how not exciting it looks from the airport road - once inside, you will experience a lot!
We took a guide who helped us to understand more of these important rituals and was also helpful to negotiate with the locals who either wanted to sell us something or needed a gift for photos (mainly applies to the Holy Men).
We spent about half a day wandering around after which we walked for 30mins to the Boddnath stupa for another half day. That way we explored Hindu traditions in the morning and Buddhist traditions in the afternoon. That was an amazing day!
