We stayed at the Peace Plaza twice, before and after a trek in Annapurna. We enjoyed our stay on both occasions, and our extra bags were well looked after while we were trekking. We stayed in a standard ($15US) room (with attached bathroom) both times, and they were both very nice - roomy, and clean with a small balcony overlooking the lake and park. As well as the clean facilities, another big plus was 24 hour hot water and good showers, and the back up power generator. Wifi was available when the power was on - it worked best in the downstairs courtyard, but we could receive it in our room too. It looked like there were cheaper & more expensive rooms for people on different budgets.
While the staff were generally helpful and friendly, one downside was that they were a little pushy when we arrived and a couple of times afterwards in trying to arrange trekking / rafting package tours. We had already made arrangements ourselves, and it took a little while for them to get the message that we weren't interested.
They did do breakfasts, but there are so many restaurants really close by on Lakeside that we never ate there.
