The food here was great and cheap even though it's right next to a big tourist attraction. I ordered a green curry and my sister ordered fried rice with chicken. Both were great and my curry wasn't too spicy at all. The customer service there could be better though. The waitress was on her phone the whole time even when taking our orders.

Thank Annika I

Started pouring rain so we slipped into this little cafe and it did not disappoint! Fried spring rolls were very very good, sparkling water was outstanding and they have free internet, perfect!

Had not planned on stopping for lunch but a plate of steaming sweet and sour chicken came out as we walked by , the recipient confirmed the food is excellent there and that's how we discovered this place it was a really delicious meal personally I thought it was the best and last lunch in Bangkok as our holiday ended that evening.
It was a Slightly westernised food menu and included some really useful information about Bangkok.
A very quick service combined with reasonable prices and cold beer a must for all those seeing the re clining Buddha

We visited the Rub Aroon today for lunch. It was a random visit as the heavens were about to open so we ducked inside.. The decor was nice, very Western and the place was full of Westerners, not really surprising as it's right next to the reclining Buddha temple. I had (something similar to) a Thai green curry and my wife had a stir fried prawn dish. The food was good though not exceptional (considering Bangkok's high standard). The portions were quite small, the service fine though our waitress had a rather abrupt "You want drink?" way of speaking.. Cost wise it was middle of the road. Two mains, two bottles of water and a tapioca style dessert came to 285 Baht about $8.50 £6.00 so quite reasonable.
A great place to watch torrential rain from!

Right on the doorstep of the Tha Tien pier and near Wat Pho massage, this is a beacon of breath air after a long day doing the cultural sights around Wat Pho. Open-fronted converted shopfront with hand-made recycled palette furniture with cushions, easy Thai menu and wifi, what's not to like?
