We passed by this restaurant yesterday evening and it looked very inviting to us. A villa away from the main street with a typical italian interior. We felt like in Italy from the very first minute. We were greeted very friendly and as it was already late, we were the only guests. Staff tooked really great care of us and was always around. We just ordered two pizzas, as we wanted just a small bite. They served us for free a shrip amuse buche, the size of a starter. Tasted very good. The pizzas looked, smelled and tasted as we know them from Naples. They have a wood fired oven and that makes the difference, and they use high quality ingedients. The mozzarella and the ham were perfect. As we were already full, we just ordered two Espressi and no dessert, but we got together with the coffee a very nice presented small selection of their desserts. We were really stunned, what they provided for free, as we only had some pizza and a glass of wine. We think this is a hidden gem, Not far away from the BTS and real italian. We will be back, thanks a lot to the team of Unico 23

Looking for good quality Italian food in a beautiful setting with good service? We found a hidden little gem in Sukhumvit Bangkok!
The ambience romantic, set in a quiet part of the Soi surrounded by beautiful trees. You’ll be looked after as the service is impeccable. Every detail has been thought of, even the current music selection was a delight.
The food is excellent with generous portions but not heavy handed, every dish was delicately seasoned to perfection.

A good wine and champagne selection. We Absolutely loved our dining experience!
If it’s a special occasion or a romantic outing, or even a business meeting; you can be assured of an culinary experience to enjoy.

Have a look at my pics!
The chocolate mousse was a delight of a surprise

We just came for dinner for 2 for the first time here with my wife and had an incredible time!

The restaurant is truly nice, located in main Sukhumvit 23, yet with a private and quaint feeling (beautiful single house). The atmosphere was wonderful with well spaced tables and a relaxed decor.

The service was very friendly with both English and Thai speaking staffs. Everyone was working efficiently and yet with a smile from start to end.

The food here really shines with authentic dishes yet with creative plating. We ordered the mixed cheese and cold cuts platter which came with all kind of Italian hams and cheeses, melon, pickles and smoked salmon (which was a nice addition). We also had the burrata cheese with was creamy, tasty and served with a well seasoned salad and beautiful prosciutto ham once again.

For main, we had the truffle fettuccine with italian sausage and mushroom, the beef lasagna and the stewed rib eye with polenta and roasted potatoes. All dishes were perfectly executed with attention to detail. Pasta was handmade and perfectly cooked, the flavor of the lasagna and the gooeyness of the cheese was to die for. Big thanks to the kitchen for pulling off Italian classics with great flair. Pizzas also looked great and we will definitely try one next time.

As for drinks, I decided to go with a carafe of the red house wine (500 baths for half a liter) and went for a second one in no time. It was light and well balanced. I usually go for a nice bottle, but my choice tonight did not disappoint.

Finally, prices really are on the affordable end here. I saw that imported big steaks were below 1000 baths and seemed delicious (many people order them). We were very pleased when the bill came and did not break the bank even though we had a wonderful time.

Little bonus, the restaurant served a nice complimentary shrimp amuse bouche that was really tasty and some chocolate and mango mousses with my espresso.

Thank you to all the team for a sensational evening, we will back very soon!

Ps: you should make a booking as the place gets fully booked early on.

Six of us ate dinner here in February 2018, and enjoyed it so much we returned two nights later for our last group dinner in Bangkok. The restaurant is surprisingly elegant, has excellent service, and much of the food we tried was great. The pizzas were good, with perfect crusts, but the pastas were special. When we visited, the house red wine was a very good Montepulciano, much better than the typical house wine. (The house white, which I think was a Chardonnay, was not nearly as good.) Salads are very good, and huge. Unless you intend the salad as a main dish, one salad can easily feed 2-4 people. Desserts are impressive.
