Made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Very clean. and comfortable, The staff and family were very helpful
Lovely and peaceful. The accomodation is well decorated, clean and tidy. The garden is beautiful. The animals - chickens, ducks, peacocks and dogs are all friendly. There are coffee/tea making facilities and a functional kitchen should you want to make anything, but really there is no need. Shops and restaurants are not far away. The BTS sky train is easily accessible using the motorbike taxi or songthiaw, do ask the owner for instructions. The owner Khun Jantana and her family were all very welcoming. Please note that the bed is quite firm as is traditional in Thailand and may take some getting used to. At night you can hear crickets, toads and geckos which does make it feel like you are in the country. All in all a lovely place to stay.
We stayed here to experience a different area of Bangkok as the setting is more suburban. The teak house we stayed in was immaculately clean and suited all of our needs, when we stayed we were the only guests on the property so it was very private. The owners live in a near by property so are only a phone call away if you need anything.
The property is very pretty and we enjoyed feeding the peacock, chickens and ducks, I especially enjoyed watching the bushy tailed squirrel who visits after all the feeding to collect the crumbs! There is also two lovely friendly dogs who occasionally visit too - all of this gives it a homely feel.
We walked to Phra Khanong train station but we discovered that we could get on one of the small blue local trucks to get to the station for a few baht also. In the evening we caught Uber's back which was easy and economical too.
If you want accommodation that is a little different and you are an independent traveler who doesn't need constant attention you will enjoy your stay here.
This was a good location for exploring the Sukumvit side of Bangkok - places like Ekkamai, Emporium Mall and the Train Night Markets (25 min Uber away) We also paid to use the Sofitel Sukumvit swimming pool one day which was well worth the money and was also very close to a train station on the Sukumvit line.
All responses from the owner were super quick and with clear directions and photos.
