What a wonderful place to stay if you like artistically decorated classic surroundings, antique furniture and curios, beautiful plants, quiet spaces, good food, and caring staff--all in Old Town Bangkok! Arriving after midnight via car service from the airport, we were greeted by a friendly, caring manager who ushered into our Victorian style room which was complete with fresh cut flowers. Starting the next day with a delicious Thai breakfast and cappuccino, we set off on foot (10 minutes walk) to the Grand Palace--incredible! A walk along the riverbank and a stop at Wat Pho (largest reclining Buddha), on to the amulet market (also incredible) and finally back to the Bhuthorn, tired and hungry, just as dusk was falling. Alas, where to eat? No worries, the manager gave us multiple options--we chose Krua Apsorn, easily walkable and near the Democracy Monument, giving us yet another a scene to remember, as this was our last night in Bangkok. Our Bhuthorn manager had set up our very early morning transportation to the airport which included a cappuccino before leaving this quaint and comfortable B&B. We would absolutely stay here again, and for a longer period of time!!

Room Tip: Ground level room was excellent--tall windows on street but enclosed by lush, thick plants and shrub...

What a hidden gem in "Old Town" Bangkok. Hidden due to the fact that our airport transfer, local taxi drivers and tour guide had trouble finding this excellent Hotel. However once you arrived you knew you had have made the right choice.

Located in a local neighborhood made the experience even more wonderful, while still being close enough to walk to the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha and What Pho. The surrounding streets were also safe to walk around at night, even to the "Night Market" which is about 15 minutes away (a good place to visit for a foot massage).

Our room was upstairs, clean and had an great air conditioner (also larger than we thought as we could have two large suitcase open on the floor and had plenty of space left to walk around). There is a little bit of noise from the local stalls setting up in the morning. The overall feeling of the Hotel is like a family home with the staff being welcoming and attentive. The Traditional Thai Breakfast is not to be missed and was served in a lovely little courtyard downstairs. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Bhuthorn at the end of our honeymoon. I had stayed in Bangkok before and did not love the experience but this place made me fall in love with the wonderful Bangkok. What an incredible location. It felt so secludeded and quiet in that lovely little square yet a few minutes walk and you were straight into the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Catching transport was a breeze made easier by the very helpful owners who went out of their way to get us transport as and when needed even in rush hour!
Furnishings were stunning, the room was comfortable, so well set up.
Breakfasts were the best we have had and my husband still talks about them over two years later.
I could go on and on. The Bhuthorn was an incredible experience. Try it for yourself.

The Bhuthorn is a lovely charming little hotel in the middle of old downtown Bangkok. The room was comfortable, serene and very pleasant. It seems the owners pay attention to every little detail, from the teacups to the traditional Thai breakfast. It is an unexpected treat to find a place of serenity and grace in the middle of bustling Bangkok. This is not a typical boutique hotel even by the standards of design or service in Asia. The hotel is sited close to the Grand Palace, historic temples and the surrounding streets are just a pleasure to aimlessly wander through. Walking form the hotel in the opposite direction of the Palace, the feel of the street life is so different, and we were able to try so of the great restaurants the owners recommended. While we were staying there, we met a photographer from Australia who had stayed there for over a month, who we got to know quite well. This sort of place inspires these kinds of chance encounters. Would love to stay here again the next time I visit Bangkok.

Hotel was located on a good location and we apreciated it. Our room was not big but enough for 2 of us feel comfortable during our trip. Breakfask was not too brilliant but it was tasty and good for our standard. But as i mentioned, it was so noisy in the early morning and we had to wake up so early even we did not want because we came back hotel at late night. But the mamager and staffs were welcome and helpful. And we hope that they can fix the windows of rooms to to avoid the noise from outside

This is a charming characterful little place to stay and the staff are very friendly.

We stayed in two rooms during our stay, one on the first floor at the start and another room on the ground floor at the end of our stay, so we got to see 2 of the 3 rooms available here. Both were spacious and very clean with beautiful curtains and shutters - traditional touches. The breakfasts are tasty and lovingly prepared with attention to detail. The traditional Thai pork mince breakfast was a novel experience for me! One morning we enjoyed breakfast sat amongst all the beautiful orchids in the garden area - just stunning.

The manager was helpful and suggested some great local restaurants, which we visited and enjoyed. This place is also just a short walk away from the royal palaces so we enjoyed walking to these sites and discovering some of the nearby streets.

The only downside for me was that there was a bit of street noise quite early in the morning from local stall holders setting up their stalls to serve people breakfast. Often noise really does bother me but here, it was all part of the Bangkok experience.

I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Room Tip: There is a ground floor room ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet neighborhood right in the center of the Old City. Easily accessible is the river, temples and palaces. The style reminds you of the Jim Thompson house and the service is wonderful. This is a little gem at a great price for a bed and breakfast stay in Bangkok. Meals include breakfast AND afternoon Tea.

Room Tip: This is a wonderful hotel right in the heart of the Old City and just steps from the Royal Palace an...
