This is a clean, friendly and convenient hotel. It is small - probably less than 20 rooms in the hotel in a quiet soi. There is some noise from planes landing but it is not too bad and being 10 minutes from one of the busiest airports in Asia, it has to be expected. If you want complete silence it's probably best not to visit Bangkok in the first place. The breakfast is a good deal and the free transfers to and from the airport make this a real bargain - I just needed it for one night - arriving late and leaving early was not a problem. I don't know what it would be like if you were staying in Bangkok for any longer. The bed I had was very firm. The bathroom is compact but good for a Thai hotel. The Wifi is free and worked without problem. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English.

We stayed one night at this clean and comfortable boutique hotel when we needed to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. What a pleasant place this is for a stopover, with spotlessly clean rooms equiped with free wifi, complimentary drinks in the bar fridge and free transport to and from the airport. Highly recommended

On a quiet soi 10 mintes from the airport or minutes from the closet Airport rail line. Rooms are small, but very clean tidy, small bathroom with shower. Rooms are air conditioned, flat screen TV, free wifi, small mini bar with complimentary, beer, coke, water, coffee, tea, and some snacks. Breakfast is also available but had to leave too early in the morning to have it. If you wish to go into Bangkok for the day or for a few hours there is complementary shuttle service and they also give you a mobile phone so you can call for pick up when you return., There is also a shuttle from and two the airport. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. While no luxury resort, it is certainly a great place to spend the night before or after your flights. One draw back, the property is located almost directly under the airport flight path so take ear plugs with you if you are a light sleeper.

What a place! Booked a room here last minute for a night's stop over en route to Krabi - such exceptional value! Firstly, they throw SO much in for free - free round trip transfer to and from the airport, free beer, soft drinks & snacks in your room, free WIFI and (a delicious) breakfast are all included in the price - about £35. The place is immaculate too - lovely clean rooms, big bed, aircon, TV, nice shower/toilet etc. and the staff were super friendly and would do anything to help and make sure you had a great stay. Only slight downside is (due to its proximity to the airport) you do get a fair amount of overhead plane noise, but still I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place for a night or two.

What a good experience and superb service! Most of the airport hotels in the world are expensive or cheap+grubby , seldom quality for your money … so, Lilac Relax-residence is the exception to this rule !
We stayed 1 night (31 october). Booked via booking.com for 1590bt including breakfast and free airport transportation. On arrival at Suvarnabumi airport there was a driver waiting for us at gate 4, showing the Lilac hotel sign and our name. 10 minutes later, 6km driving by modern airco-Van, we arrived at the 10-room hotel Lilac Relax Residence. Welcome drink.
This brandnew hotel (opened july 2010) is located in rural typical Thai environment, minutes away from a peacefull “klong” (canal) and Wat Lat Krabang (temple). 7-11 shop nearby. The large tiled room (26m²) was comfortable, very clean, and quiet at night (some noise of airplanes). Excellent bed. Good and silent airco, TV. Bathroom rather small however adequate and clean. Complimentary : Wifi, coffee/tea, stocked fridge and free biscuits in afternoon. Room, restaurant and lobby painted in all gradations of lilac, hence the name of the hotel. Tastfully decorated and designed.
Next morning , after a good a la carte breakfast , free airport transportation to take our domestic flight to Chiang Mai.
For those people going to the centre of Bangkok : You can take the airport City link sky train at Lat Krabang railway link station, 800m from Lilac Relax-residence. You can have free transport from Lilac (if Van is available) to this station or you can stroll to the station. From Lat Krabang Railway station, you can take the new airport rail-link to Bangkok city (each 15 minutes, max 45bt, 20 minutes drive) to Makkasan station (link to metro, MRT) or Phaya Thai station (link to sky train, BTS) : cheaper, faster and much relaxing than a taxi drive.

ps : we never experienced flood problems in Lilac environment

We transited Bangkok on 21st on our way to Vietnam. Our pick up, stay, drop to a Thai restaurant and drop back to the hotel was very smooth and friendly. They gave a mobile from which we called soon as we finished dinner a the restaurant, that was a great comfort. The breakfast was good for us with different breads, eggs, coffee, juices, honey and fruits, was a tasty fill. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the hot shower a gift of life after a long flight.
Though we had no flooding in the main airport, most places were sandbagged and read for water.

We would surely like to stay here again.

Room Tip: The best place to be if you want to be near the airport and a smooth in-out experience.
