What we appreciated:
+ Great location for nightlife, trendy restaurants and vibrating night markets in vicinity.
+ Rooftop bar with nice view and good atmosphere.
+ 25 degres hamburger shack had the most amazing bluecheese burger, a must try!
+ the room had a really nice view overlooking Bangkok skyline.
+ The staff in the executive lounge was super attentive, polite and was super service minded. Extra big thanks to wonderful Taew for great service, always with a beautiful smile!
What we think you need to improve:
- The building felt like an old office building that had been turned into a hotel. The room was acceptable, though it felt a bit worn.
- The pool area was small and had no view. The pool was small and felt like a kids pool. The poolarea is situated under a roof and low to sealing, no nice views. If you want to soak in the sun and have lazy days by a pool, this is not the place.
- The executive lounge is so uninspiring, feeling like an 80’s office cafeteria, BBC news channel on two television screens on whenever the lounge is open. The afternoon tea (buffet) did not seem to be very visited, still the trays with scones and sandwiches were not refilled for more than 30 minutes at a time. The evening cocktail is much more popular, however some of the other guests have so bad manners it is embarassing. I noticed a man in shorts and tank top sitting with his bare feet on one of the sofas cleaning his toes with his fingers. This is of course not caused directly by the hotel itself, but just to give you an idea of the current level of sophistication.
- The hotel seems to want to portray itself as a trendy and chic hot spot. This is however not our perception of the hotel, based on the atmosphere and look of the common areas, except for the entrance and restaurants.
