“Not what I expected”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2012

I don't know exactly what i expected, but I was disappointed somewhat. But it might mean a lot more to others so go & have a look & don't be detered by an indecisive (& maybe fatigued) opinion.

“Interesting architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2012

Well worth the trip. Easy to get to via th Skytrain and it's a piece of calm and tranquility in the city.
The buildings are lovely, the compulsory tour (Thai, English or French) OK.
Take note in the shop though...linen shirts made with Irish linen, scarfs made from Italian fabric.....hardly supporting traditional Thai manufacturing

“Exquisite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

A visit to the Jim Thompson House is a must. He created a magnificent home using traditional Thai materials. He revitalized the Thai silk industry. The cafe serves good Thai light meal and the shop is full of silk clothing, handbags, scarves. Wonderful fabrics with modern design.
