Pretty and fun market. Vendors will lure you in the best they can which makes it hard to window shop. On the right side of the market are the sex shows, if you're travelling with kids just make sure to not walk on the right side because they will try to pull you in .

Enjoyable and bright for an hour. Just a small market. Sold some nice candles, cards and notebooks. Haggle to a reasonable price and walk away if you don't get the price and they will give you it for the price you want.
The cleanest looking street food I saw was here and tried some spicy sausage and it was good.
Go go bars line the edge of the market and the women and girls are standing there trying to get people in. Some people may not like it.

It was one evening that we wanted to see ping-pong show, but unfortunately on Patpong area is plenty of people who wanted to cheat you. Don't believe that you will pay 200 Bahts for seeing the show. They will give you one beer in 200 Bahts plus list of shows that you saw during sitting in a bar while girls were dancing. Not worth at all.

I wasn't impressed. The vendors were rude and started the prices so high that it would have been nearly impossible to haggle a price that was acceptable considering that MBK shopping mall had prices that were literally 20% of the prices that the vendors started their negotiations from. Also, there were seedy gogo bars along the way with men attempting to sell us a ping pong show (if you don't know what that is, look it up on google) 😤 I was with my wife😱😬

We just stopped at the market to check it out, hoping we could get some good deals on clothing and souvenirs, but we were much better off at MBK mall...

This place is a hellhole but an irresistible and necessary attraction for tourists looking for tatty fake everything and an opportunity to haggle at the same time (your starting offer should be no more 40% of the starting price, pay no more than 50% and even then you will be getting ripped off for being stupid enough to shop in Pat Pong).

Dare I mention the other services that Pat Pong has to offer? Well, they've changed out of all recognition too. Gone are the very naughty but relatively safe bars and all that remains are the very loud and/or total ripoff bars acting as feeders for the dubious 'massage' establishments down the side alleys. I'm admitting nothing of course, but I was introduced to some of the very genuine delights of Pat Pong by a very respectable and obviously well-liked Thai gentleman when not a tourist was to be seen. Gone are those days and all Pat Pong has to offer now is numerous ways of quickly and conveniently empting your wallet. It's your own fault for spoiling something that was good and now isn't. You have to admire the Thais though; why not when haggling is seen as demeaning to Europeans and, worse, where the mighty dollar prevails?
Go... but keep your hands and your cash in your pocket...and don't go up any stairs unless you are looking to get mugged and/or ripped off.
P.S. There' s an ATM by the supermarket in Soi Pat Pong 2.
P.P.S. There a relatively-safe 24h restaurant in the supermarket too. It serves a good selection of Western and Thai food at good prices but I can't find it on TripAdvisor yet.
