What an amazing hotel! Couldn't have stayed in a nicer place. Also a good location and a bit out of the chaos.

This hotel remains a good value among Bangkok riverside properties, especially for Hilton HHonors members. As a Gold member I was upgraded to an executive room and received free internet access, which would otherwise have been expensive. I was also given a choice of breakfast in the executive lounge (which has great views), or the main Flow restaurant, which has a more extensive spread including Chinese and a few Japanese choices (but nothing Thai). The selection of fresh fruits was smaller than on previous visits, but the choices were otherwise plentiful.

I got the feeling the property was not on top of things several times during this stay:
- I was given a room right next to the elevator despite my profile requesting the opposite: annoying whooshing sounds around the clock
- no welcome fruit basket in room as per previous practice
- no morning newspaper although other rooms had them (this was on a paid rate booked on Hilton's own website)
- late checkout only until 2pm, although property was at 50% occupancy
- my check in was not done in the HHonors member sit-down section (with cold towels and drink) as usual, although other people were processed there
- cord controlling sunshade was improperly fitted, meaning the sunshade could not be lifted more than 40%; so much for the view.

The boat service was punctual as always; I noticed that a larger boat was put into service at peak hours, a nice touch.
Room was in good condition, floors and furniture showing no undue wear.

I found this hotel just average. The room was large, clean and with a beautiful view of the river. However, the service in their Flow restaurant was terrible. We sat by the river for a half hour with no service. When to the bar to buy a bottle of wine, then waited another half hour to get the wine. This was after several trips back to the bar to inquire on the wine. This happened two nights in a row. The hotel did set us up with a quide for two days. This worked out great.

We stayed at the Millenium Hilton Bangkok several times in the last couple of years. Which brought us both joy and disappointments. The very best things about the hotel is the spectacular panoramic view over the Chaopraya River and Bangkok skyline in every rooms and suits. We had the pleasure of staying at their executive plus suit which boasts spacious living and sleeping area. The room is well appointed but furnitures were old and shown signs of wear and tear.
The hotel offers all top facilities you could ever want. Several international restaurants, such as 360 at the top (as the name suggested it offers 360 degree panoramic view around BKK)' international cuisine buffet on the ground floor, Chinese, Thai and so on. Spa on the ground floor in separate building. Infinity swimming pool, gym etc. The hotel has shuttle boats to carry you to Skytrain station or to River city in case you wanna get into town. The service that we experienced was unfortunately up and down, sometimes competent and friendly , at times just lazy and ignorant. ( We have diamond tier member from HHonor, so we cachair down and relax checked in at the designated area. Few times we were offered hot towels and welcome drinks , other times not... Which puzzled us a bit) The last time we stayed there our room wasn't completely finished upon our arrival, granted it was New Year's eve.
The room prices depends on season and category ranging from 5-6 thousands Bath to about 12 thousands if u wanna stay at one of their suits. Food and drink price is on the hotel standard high side. Breakfast and dinner buffet is great if you like to eat a lot from many international cuisine offered there. Or kick back and relax with great cocktails or great selection wine on the 360, side note : I orderd some snack with lobster at the 360 but the lobster had foul taste, so we were offered a glass of fresh orange juice in replace, how generous?

Room Tip: Great panoramic view.

We spent our last night in Thailand here before flying home. Our trip had started in Bangkok but downtown so we wanted a night by the river to finish. This is a great hotel to do just that.

We booked an executive suite which we thought was good value and a stunning room with great views down the river. We found the executive lounge to be very civilized and a little different from others we have used. They have tablets as opposed to computers, canapes are served as opposed to a help yourself buffet and there is a chef there to cook your eggs for you at breakfast. We loved it and it was great to watch Bangkok light up at night beneath us.

Only two niggles - the river was less than fragrant when we were there and also the concierge took it upon himslef to agree a fixed fare with the taxi driver on our way back to the airport. It wasn't much more than the meteerd fare would have been but it is our choice and not his!

As a Diamond member and a frequent international traveler I have to say I was dissapointed with this hotel. We were in an Executive King which has a very nice view of the river but the room is all bed and there is not enough space to store your clothes. We were there for 6 nights and felt very cramped. The executive lounge was average at best. It did not compare at all to the lounges in the Kuala Lumpur or Tokyo Hilton properties. The overall service was average as well. Not once was my Diamond status acknowledged. If you are expecting a top hotel and top service then you might be dissapointed. Also, we were advised that since we had an executive room that we could have 4 pieces of laundry done a day. When we checked out they had charged us for all the laundry. When I complained they simply showed me letter that they said I got when I signed in ( I never read it) that says you get 2 pieced per person PRESSED not laundered. The price is the same but the woman was almost rude in stating that I should have read the letter. Management this is not acceptable. We were late to the airport so I did not have time to argue. Also, the "tips" on restaurants by the concierge were all bad. We asked for the best restaurants in several food venues and were dissapointed with all of them. A tip, do not plan on getting good beef in Thailand. Go for the pork or chicken dishes. The free shuttle boat to the sky train was nice and it was very easy to get to downtown on the train. There is a local department store call Robinsons not far from the hotel that has a long row of street vendors selling hot foods. It was a little scary but there are several with hot pots at the table which were very good.

We have stayed at many hotels during our travels but this one really is in our top 3. Service was top notch from the moment we entered the hotel. One could be apprehensive about service especially at a large chain hotel, but Hilton Bangkok did a great job. They were always polite and helped us with a smile. On our last day, we were waiting at the elevator to go down to the lobby to check out. When the door opened, one of the hilton employees was going down as well. Without hesitation, he offered his service to take our luggage and call us a taxi to the airport. We're not sure where or what he was doing or was on his way to do, but he definitely made it seem like we were his only important task. The staff at the boat dock was great as well. They were always aware and lending a helping hand if a guest needed assistance to board or unboard the boat.

Food was also good. It was expensive but tasty. Breakfast buffet had a huge selection of asian and western choices. One night, we ordered in room dining since all of their restaurants had already closed. We ordered some Thai dishes and we loved it. The next night, we ate at Prime Steakhouse where service was attentive and polite and the steaks were excellent.

The rooms were standard Hilton quality but was always clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
