I have visited Bangkok in early june 2009 and late june 2009. Early june was my very first visit to grace hotel and everything seems ok except the cleanliness issue and not smiling hotel members, in every occasion ready to attack you.

With a group of friends we returned back to Bangkok to continue our fun times, as you do, We asked the taxi driver to take us to Grace hotel again. We checked in, everything was great until next morning. At 6 am in the morning we all woke up with terrible jackhammer noise. It was terrible and unbearable. I went to the reception and asked them to change our rooms some where there would be no noise. Even though hotel was empty the only choice I was given was a room for $3800. They didn't even have the courtesy to warn us about the construction. I wanted to change the hotel straight away but other 3 friends with tight budget accepted the fact and we slept in those room for 9 nights.

Also when you have a non Thai company in your room, you have to pay the hotel 500BHT, last five days I was with the same company but I still had to pay 500BHT for every night due to their unwritten hotel policy. They can not provide the policy but very good at sticking their head in sand pit to avoid you.

It seems like arabs love this hotel and they are not interrupted with the whole thing, maybe they had adjusted all their system to suit the arabs not us westerns.

For me no more Grace hotel, probably I would still go to the disco and coffee shop but that is pretty much it.

I found out that there are quite a few nice hotels in the area much better than Grace, at the end of the day one has to make their own decision but I thought it would be nice to share my only 4 days old experience with you guys. Have fun

I've stayed here 6 times in 10 years. This time was the last. Despite the repeat business, the cashier staff still treat you like a criminal. They lock you out of your room every few days, but it can take an hour for their rude, inefficient cashiers to settle your bill. These battle-hardened hags carry on shuffling papers like you don't exist. The words "please" and "thankyou" are not in their vocabulary. Grace is one thing they don't have. The cleaning staff are very friendly, but rooms are shabby and dated. Internet non-existent. Bye bye Grace - there are too many hotels around to have your miserable desk staff sour my day.

This is a good and economical hotel with full of all colors of life. You can see dicipline life here. In prevailing room tariff, such facilities you cannot get from any hotel other than Grace.

This hotel is great, Discotheque with all kinds of girls who are ready to accompany you for leisure/Dinner/Anything, Massage Parlour where you can relax by choosing a girl u want to have the massage from, Bowling Alley at very reasonable prices, all night cafe with internet, and much. This is a very happening place I have ever seen in Bangkok. Out just across the road there a Bamboo Bar where you can have drinks, play pool/snooker, same thing - many many beautiful girls to join you for short/long time. I would love to stay in this hotel when I visit Bangkok nect time.

Suggesstions: Not good for families/Couples, Good only for stag guys looking for fun/enjoyment/friendly girls
