You exit the elevator to a lobby dais of sorts, and to your left a step or two down is a generous view of small intimate tables surrounding a modern, kitchen-like command center. Light jazz-combo music plays and your attention is directed to the lights of the city through walls of glass. The air wafts seasonings to your nose and you are relaxed, calm and happy. In my case, having the most beautiful woman in Thailand on my arm sporting an exquisite LBD and exclaiming softly did not hurt either!
A captain and waitress showed us our table window-side, and we were served flawlessly throughout the evening. We ended up solving the world's problems over world-class teas and overstaying the kitchen close. They still made us a dessert. It was a quiet warm, unhurried meal.
My darling had an excellent wine, and I had tea and juices before the meal. We loved the scallop appetizer...complex flavors. The Macadamia-encrusted Chilean sea bass was mind blowing, as were the baked scallops on quinoa with glazed baby carrots and even a roasted lemon-apple. Bread was fresh and crisp, and even their butter was a highlight. After dinner tea was good, and our specially ordered dessert was a great finish.
Go on an empty stomach, go after dark, go with a lover, and enjoy!
