“Pretty good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2012

Our previous guesthouse was booked so we had to move and found Na Inn. For 650 baht, we got a large room with queen bed, table and chairs, tv, wifi, fridge and aircon. There is a small breakfast included, which is basically bread and jam and a toaster, but they do include coffee and tea and the coffee is really good.

The wifi worked well, which we appreciated, and the staff was quick to help us. The window in our room wouldn't lock and they got someone out to repair it, although we did have to wait a day. We felt pretty safe anyways so it wasn't a big deal.

It was a good deal for the money and would recommend it to someone on a budget. There are no frills, but it's a pretty clean room with basic amenities, good aircon, in a good location. The lady that runs it is very sweet and always smiling.

The only negatives for us were some ants we had to deal with, but after the first day or so they weren't that bad and would only see them around the sink. The shower would fill up with water and nearly flood the bathroom, which was annoying, but still not too big of a deal.

After extensive searching, we decided to book at Na Inn for our 12 night stay in Chiang Mai. We certainly don't regret it one bit. Management has been great and always smiling. Our room is huge, with a full size fridge, kitchen table w/4 chairs, king size bed, a few chairs, and a balcony.
There is a free simple breakfast included in the 650 baht/night, which consists of toast and freshly brewed coffee (definitely some of the best we've had in SE Asia... we like strong coffee).
Overall, great value... would have gotten excellent rating if it weren't for the noise coming in from the street. You may want to bring earplugs if in a room facing the street.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, and thought it was an excellent value (about $21 for a double). We spent 9 nights here and were so glad we had found it. Our room was fairly spacious, with a large bed and a couch, and simply decorated. It also had free wifi, A/C, an enclosed balcony, 2 free waters every day, a full-sized refrigerator, and a small breakfast (toast, coffee, and tea). The staff was very sweet, and the location in the old city was great, with many good restaurants within walking distance.

Very minor issues were occasional mosquitos that seemed to come in from the ceiling near the light fixture, ants that were attracted to the soap in the bathroom (we didn't see any for the first week, but when we finally opened the scented soap that the hotel provided, they appeared quickly), and spotty wifi (they were always happy to fix it, but it did go in and out frequently).

Overall, though, we had a great time staying here, and would definitely go back if we find ourselves in Chiang Mai again. One of the best values we've found in over a month of traveling in Southeast Asia. Definitely recommended.

Just came back fm Na Inn, Chiang Mai. Although there are many value for $ places to stay, Na Inn takes the cake with its spacious rooms, wifi, free breakfast and excellent location. The Sun night market is just a 3 min walk away. For us cyclists, they have a spacious storeroom to keep our bike boxes. Ms Meow, the manager is ever so obliging and friendly. They have a small sundry shop just next to the recep which makes it v convenient.

However, please make sure they understand your request clearly as they booked us one room short for our party of 12 pax. At 650B per night, we are all smiles. They get pretty full so advanced booking is recommended!

Room Tip: They dont have lifts so if you are assigned to the top floor 4th storey, be prepared for a small wor...

We are flashpackers. We don't want 5*, but we do require clean rooms at a decent North Thailand price. Na Inn is where we found this (we had stayed in 3 other places before finding here)

Na Inn is basic, clean, no-nonsense accommodation in Chiang Mai. It does exactly what it says on the tin; clean, affordable rooms. The building consists of an entrance lobby, a shop and the rooms, so don't expect to be entertained for hours upon end. The rooms are spotlessly clean, including the bathroom at a cheap price. This was our only requirement, hence why we are now on our 4th night here.

I'm happy to recommend this place to people who require clean accommodation, without the bells and whistles, at a cheap price (650 baht per room per night) - Better prices can be gotten for longer stays

I must also add that the lady (I assume the runs/owns the business) is amazing. She is always genuinley smiling which I find a nice change compared to the fake smiles you usually get up here. She appreciates the business, and that's why we're staying longer. We even have 2 of our other friends staying in a room above us and they are also delighted. So thank you lady who always greets us.

Back to the hotel - Free WiFi (works throughout the building) and the beds/room are cleaned every day, with free bottled water put in the fridge (you'll need these, trust me!)

Room Tip: The front rooms look out on to the road, which I found noisy, but at least have a bit of a view. The...

We have chosen Na Inn based on the good reviews here on TA. The rooms are large and come with the complimentary water and use of the fridge. Our rooms were not facing the noisy street but a back alley.

Rooms are in a large building with a railing giving a feel of a sanitized hospital, there are no plants or pictures to create a warm atmosphere nor chairs on each floor. The staff was nice but only some were able to point us to the places of interest.

We stayed here for 4 nights in total choosing to come back after an initial stay of 3 nights. We were welcomed by the owner who, despite some confusion over our arrival date, soon sorted us out with a spacious, clean room with good facilities. We had a fridge in our room and bottled water was provided. There was also a separate seating area and a desk. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked! A simple breakfast of toast and coffee/tea was available from 7am which was great when we were setting out on various day trips and didn't have time to go out for breakfast. Staff were always helpful and let us store our bags on our last day to save us carrying them round waiting for a bus. The guesthouse also has a mini-mart attached which is handy for purchasing snacks/beer etc for the room. We found the guesthouse to be quiet and were not disturbed by street noise at all despite being near all the main attractions. We would stay here again and recommend to others
