We booked this room as we were backpacking expecting a nice break from hostels and got the complete opposite. The lobby is nice which is misleading compared to the rooms. Online they look incredible, in person I couldn't recommend a worse place to stay. There were bugs in our entire bathroom and in the room, we were booked for two nights and left after one. The tile floors had random hairs all over them and of the four lights in the room only 1 had a lightbulb. The "pool" is covered in green algae and you would get a disease if you swam in it. Avoid at all costs.
We stayed here for 3 nights and after jungle trekking we were just grateful for a shower and a bed. The rooms were nicer than we were expecting, spacious and modern with a little balcony for us to sit out on. The overall hotel wasn't great, having purchased a new swimsuit for my time at the hotel I was very disappointed that the swimming pool was no more than a puddle but hey ho the weather was great which lifted my mood. The location of the hotel was slightly further than we thought but made for a lovely walk.
It was my last minute booking, I called hotel directly for verbal reservation the day before arriving - no deposit required! The price is great, 699 baht including breakfast. The hotel is located near the airport, 15 minute drive with no traffic jam (150 baht taxi from airport) and 10 min walk to shopping mall - Central kad suan kaew.
The room is clean, the towel is a bit old. Free WiFi and 2 bottles of water available in the room. If you plan to stay out of hotel most of the time, it may be your good choice for budget hotel.
Since I traveled alone, my major concern was the red vans always charge me extra 30-40 baht/trip (normal 20 baht) when I returned to hotel at night time since there are not many passengers staying nearby (not popular spot for tourists). If you are planning to rent a car, it should not be your problem.
I am a frequent user of trip advisor and rely on it a lot to see the general vibe of where to stay. I was in a rush having a look at this hotel as it was the day before I was due to fly into Chiang Mai, and wow I regret not actually realising the last review was last year.
This hotel is not what is portrayed in pictures on ANY booking sites. All of the rooms have giant windows which 90% of the time you need to have all curtains closed as you feel like you are in a greenhouse with the heat. The air conditioning just blew out hot air and wow the pool?? Hmm more like what pool? On the roof there is just concrete ground and up a few grimy steps there is this horrid brown infected pool which I wouldn't even attempt to sit near for a €1,000..pure disgusting. I complained to reception stating the main reason why I booked was to enjoy the pool and this facility is disgusting and unusable..her response was 'you no pay for pool you pay for room, we include pool' and tried to continue to talk to her about it and she told me I am giving her a headache and to come back later....that speaks for itself.
The staff are rude and unhelpful and definitely have no experience with customer service. Will never come back here even if it was free!
This hotel was opened quite recently and is located at the crossroads of a busy intersection. The rooms were slightly small but all the amenities were available, so it was value for money. You can take a stroll to the central plaza shopping centre with Tops supermarket and many food stalls to settle your meals. Walking down the road also gives you many food options. The wifi connection was not good on the upper floors and on the ground floor there are many mosquitoes.
