We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in different rooms as part of a tour so didn’t have to liaise with the hotel staff. I’d agree with other reviews that the lobby is the best part of this hotel.
This is without doubt the noisest hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time. Something about this hotel means that the noise travels a long way so loud voices and doors banging seemed constant.
The bathrooms in both rooms were not well ventilated and had mouldy shower curtains and tiles. Our first room also had an unpleasant musty smell coming from the air conditioning unit. There’s only one lift and it was often full so we always seemed to be waiting for it.
The breakfast was included in the room price but was below average – on the second day there was hardly any food or coffee left.
On its plus side the hotel is only a couple of minutes from the old city although I think this is the least interesting segment of Chiang Mai for tourists – the night market and most of the other tourists etc. are all on the other side.
But the good point about this hotel is that it’s very cheap (half the price of other places we stayed) so at this price level it could be a good option for people wanting to be near the old city.More
