We went there yesterday. We paid for the room and as we got on the bed we noticed a few bedbugs on the pillow. Upon turning it over we realized how bad it was.
As we told the guy behind the desk about the whole thing he apologized and said something in thai to another member of staff who didn't seem too surprised. We were sent to another room and the first thing we did was flip the pillow: bam! — bedbugs. We asked for our money back and left. I'm pretty sure they didn't tell anyone as the reviews for "Shakara Garden Home" —the current name of the guesthouse— mention this problem since September 2015. The staff even give an answer at some point stating that they steam the room and take care of it every day. Bull.More
