We had an great time at Elephant Nature Park. If you are planning on going, I recommend booking early since spots fill up weeks in advance. We did the short day park tour that doesn't include bathing the elephants, but we were able to watch the elephants bath in the river. It's very apparent that this is truly a sanctuary for the elephants and they treat them humanely. There were no signs of chains or distressed elephants. All of the elephants are rescues. Our tour guide was excellent and gave us the back story on each of the elephants. We got to see a couple of cute baby elephants in the afternoon!

They also rescue cats and dogs! During lunch time, we were able to hang out in the Cat Kingdom and see rescued cats. Would not hesitate to recommend this adventure!

This is an amazing tour. You will be educated about the park and it's animals. You will enjoy a wonderful meal. And you will have ample time to interact with elephants, dogs and cats.

Honestly it was a wonderful day spent with these beautiful animals that have lived such an incredibly hard life. We chose "pamper a pachyderm" it was really enjoyable, most prominently the walking the elephants part.

Unfortunately for us, it was 4 stars because we had a tour towards the end of the day within the animal enclosure and there were some "adult" elephants who had dislocated/broken hips, or elephants who had sustained injuries from land mines. One elephant that comes to mind sustained a hip injury more than a decade ago and was struggling to weight bear still. Why are they left to suffer with no pain relief or give them peace through euthanasia. It's almost cruel.

We did a one day trip to one of the saddle off programs with a Karen tribe and it was an incredible experience. Make sure to book a trip with the ENP as they are a legit organization really trying to save elephants from bad treatments and conditions!
Definitely will do it again if I come back sometime!
