Kawin's Kitchen
Ranked #253 of 1,489 Restaurants in Ko Samui
Price range: US$2 - US$14
Description: We are a Thai restaurant that offers traditional dishes and can also provide Vegan and Vegetarian food options as well. We understand people have different tolerances to spices so we operate a spice rating system which ranges from 1 (very mild spice), 2 (medium spice), 3 (spiciest) please advise your requirements when ordering with our staff so we can make sure your personal preferences are met. We also serve a variety of healthy shakes and drinks which are made from fresh ingredients to order. Bookings are highly recommended if you wish to reserve a table for a set time, as we are usually very busy with walk in customers. We look forward to welcoming you to Kawin's Kitchen!

We had been at kawin's Kitchen at different times already, and we was very happy with the quality of food, but also with the friendly service of staff and the owners. My girlfriend is Thai and she is always happy to go again.

Also I would like to point out that there is the option to attend very personal cooking classes, and they are the real highlight for everybody who likes Thai food.

For me the best Thai restaurant in Lamai

After some not quite so good experiences the last few days on Lamai Beach, I decided to check the reviews on TripAdvisor. Wish I would have checked this site earlier. After dining here, I was amazed. They call it; "Amazing Thailand," and this restaurant is one of the reasons. Many discoveries here allowed me to make this proclamation; "it is priced reasonably." This is not an expensive restaurant, which came as a very pleasant surprise.

The menu is varied. Choices abound for every taste profile that you can imagine. Everything is prepared to order. There are no long waits either. From the time that we ordered, to the time that we were served, was less than 10 minutes.

Another thing that I like about the restaurant is that there are no ashtrays on the tables. All the restaurants in Lamai allow smoking, this one doesn't.

The restaurateur is very genuine, the staff polite, friendly and happy. Please make this one of your dinning destinations, you will be happy.

We have spend some days in Bangkok, Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Nearly every day we tried some curry and in Kawins Kitchen it was the best for an absolutely fair and cheap price. We could only recommend to enjoy the awesome food with very friendly service.

We had a wonderful time at Kawin's Kitchen when we visited Ko Samui. I We ate there 4 out of 5 dinners that we had in Ko Samui. It is located near the Renaissance Hotel and the Le Meridien Hotel. The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and Kawin is a delightful host. We also took one of Kawin's cooking classes (5:00 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays) and had a fantastic time. I highly recommend that you dine at Kawin's Kitchen if you are in Ko Samui. Our meals there were the best meals we had during our 4 week stay in Thailand.

We had a delicious dinner here tonight! Upon arrival we were informed that they make everything fresh and from scratch and that getting the food might take longer than 30 minutes. Within 10 minutes we were served our spring rolls, which were good and came served with a small cucumber and shallot salad. The rest of our food probably took another 20 minutes, which is not long in our experiences in Thailand. The glass noodle salad with pork and prawns was extremely flavourful and well-balanced. The Panang curry was also very flavourful, rich, and filling (we shared the three items). Service was friendly and our server spoke excellent English. The food plus 4 small Chang beers came to 720 baht (about $20 USD)... trip advisor PLEASE change the price rating for this restaurant! It is not 4 dollar signs expensive!

We are hoping to return again before we leave - can’t say enough good things about the food!!!
