This property has a nice pool & a nice looking lobby. The hotel rooms have ocean views - some better than others. There is a tiny strip of beach with no amenities (no cabanas, no lounge chairs or beach umbrellas) & I did not see anyone on the beach during our stay there. Although the hotel looks luxurious, it is anything but that. The rooms are poorly maintained & staff is likewise poorly trained.
Let's start with the moldy bathrooms. We had 5 rooms booked during our stay there and every single room had mold in the bathrooms. There were also clearly visible grime on the bathroom walls that no one bothered to wipe off. I wiped it off and it came off easily.
Next, the bed linens had holes in them which were literally patched up with another piece of cloth - no decent hotel would have allowed linens with holes in them to stay in circulation much less patch them up in such a tacky manner.
The room itself had issues. The door to the balcony would not close properly which meant that the air conditioning would not turn on. When we finally got that resolved, the air conditioning would work but not well enough to consistently cool the room throughout the night. On our last night there, the air conditioning just stopped working at around 4 am! By then, I was really ready to leave the hotel.
Now for check out - another laborious process that took almost 30 minutes. Why? Because housekeeping has to run up to your room & ensure that you have not taken anything from the hotel that is not yours - this from a hotel that does not even have a mini bar!
Now for the staff - the restaurant staff can barely speak English. There are only one or two staff members who can speak a modicum of English. This would not be so bad if the English speaking staff were within the vicinity of the restaurant but more often than not, you had to walk around to find them. The service in the restaurant is also extremely slow. It took a good 40 minutes for food to come out & the restaurant had only a handful of people!
I certainly would not recommend staying in this place.

We stayed at the cape dara for two weeks .myself my husband and our two children . All the staff were so lovely and friendly nothing was a problem. The hotel room was a deluxe terrace room and it was gorgeous!!! The views were fantastic . In the room was a fridge and tea making facilities. In the bathroom complimentary toiletries large bath and shower with views over pattaya. There was also complimentary bath robes slippers flip flops a umbrella and beach bag to use during your stay. The room was cleaned everyday to a high standard .
There is a complimentary bus from the hotel to the dolphin roundabout.
The food was delicious and the so were the cocktails . The pools were fantastic . I preferred the bottom pool but both were gorgeous and spotlessly clean . There was plenty of sun loungers and sun umbrellas no matter what time of the day you went to the pool . Over All We had an exellent stay and would recommend anyone going to pattaya to stay at the cape dara you will not be disappointed

My husband and I love Cape Dara Resort in Pattaya because the beach zone in the back of the hotel is quiet and peaceful. They have two pools which are both lovely. We prefer the salt water pool downstairs though with direct view to the ocean. The rooms are modern and clean and we had a great view from the balcony to the ocean. Breakfast is tasty. Staff friendly.

We stayed here in March / April 2017 we were a family of five. We booked two rooms both rooms were on the same floor which was convenient. The location was really lovely set down by the sea, the breakfast was always of a good standard. We used the pools a lot as the beach around Pattaya aren't the cleanest. The staff were excellent always friendly & most helpful. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times for convenience it was okay always tasty but there are far nicer places a short walk away cooked to order. The gym whilst not being huge is filled well & enough equipment there for a decent workout.I thought for the money we paid we were very well looked after & we had a great first Asian holiday at the Cape Dara after a hectic few days exploring Bangkok. Well done Cape Dara Resort staff top notch.

I wanted to give a 4 but had to give a 3 due to our odd experience. We stayed for one night. The aircon started to drip and flood at 1 am. We got relocated to another room and spent the night. Next morning the balcony door collapsed when we tried to open it. Seriously we have never seen anything like this. The building contractor is really questionable. These took at least one point away. Otherwise it is good looking hotel, pools are relaxing, rooms are big clean, staff are nice. Breakfast is exaggerating, it could easily be any dinner buffet. With King prawns and crabs for breakfast, it was very indulging. It may sound like a good value but the mass consumption of food and the wastage are staggering to see.
