A short walk southwest of St. Joseph Cathedral. Despite all the excellent reviews, we were hesitant. This place screamed "Tourist." Attractively-attired young hostesses, extensive menu (with translations) in a laminated book. (In fact, some of the locals belittle it, presumably because it may be too 'slick'; and, indeed, there may be several branches of this restaurant -- not positive). However, once you are confronted by the food, you realize this is real local food, excellently prepared -- and patronized by many locals. Prices are very fair for the quantity, quality, and service. We elected to sit in their 'outside' patio area, where the ambiance is reminiscent of a German beer garten implemented in the Orient -- long communal tables with skilled servers weaving their ways between them. Overall, heartily recommended, would gladly return.

TripAdvisor doesn't give the option of good.

It's better than average but not very good.

Certainly better than many touristy places.

Price was good. Some dishes were hits and some were misses.

Massive variety of dishes yet inflexible. I
E. They offered 2 different types of snails and different sauces for each type.

We ordered 2 types of snails. One dish we liked the snails but not the sauce. Other dish we didn't like the snail but liked the sauce. So we tried to order the snails we liked with sauce we liked. Easy but they wouldn't do it.

Overall I would go back and order the dishes we liked.

This place was great. First the hostess helped my wife across the street as we were still adjusting to scooter crossings. The food looked fresh and interesting. We learned that we had no idea how to eat rice pancakes properly but the waiter showed us and we managed to get a full meal. All of the dishes we had were interesting and tasty. We did not try the red wine as the beer is so good and reasonable.
