Really a wonderful place to stay and acclimatise to Hanoi. The staff are all lovely, they can't do enough for you and genuinely great people, we felt very looked after. When we were picked up to go to the train for Sapa, several staff made a point of ensuring we would be met in LaoCai and on our return journey to Hanoi. Even arranged transport for us to the airport from the train. Breakfast was always delicious, all other facilities were just fine, lounge and post checkout bathroom for train travellers a welcome touch. All in all excellent value. Highly recommended.

Hotel is nice, our room was quite big, clean, with a/c (no needed), good tv, very nice bathroom with amenities.
breakfast was good.
staff is friendly and helpful.
location is great if you want to experience the old quarter, busy, noisy, lots of things happening.
I think it was good quality for the price. I booked through agoda, it was a very good deal, about 25usd a night for a double with breakfast. This hotel was above expectations.

Needless to say, this hotel is definitely a bargain for the kind of service and room provided. After backpacking through Vietnam with a couple of friends for 3 weeks, my pockets were getting pretty empty. We wanted to find a nice, clean place that is convenient and affordable at the same time.

After walking into the hotel, I was instantly greeted by very friendly and respectful staff. They were very patient with us while we asked them tons of questions. I did not feel like I was being pushed to stay at their hotel (which occurs very often) but I felt like they were there to help me make the best decision. I found the rooms to be extremely clean, spacious, and welcoming. The bathroom was also very nice and the staff does a superb job at keeping the rooms and bathroom clean and tidy.

It was a very pleasant experience for our group and we will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we are in Hanoi.

A true gem in Hanoi - great hotel, nice and clean room, superb staff that goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

My family arrived in Hanoi on Jan 4th - our first time ever. We didn't know anything about the area or the people. We got in a taxi and told him we wanted to find a nice hotel but with reasonable prices that has different touring options. As we were driving around, we saw Hanoi Ruby Hotel. We asked the taxi driver to pull over as we went in to ask about room prices and to see what the rooms were like. We instantly fell in love with the friendly staff, clean rooms, and very reasonable prices.

However, that was not the reason why they deserve a 5 rating. The hotel deserves a 5 rating because it went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay possible. During the last day of our trip, Jan 8th, we went on a tour in Ha Long Bay. On our way back, our taxi had some troubles with the engine so we were set back quite a bit. As we were getting near our flight time, we called the hotel and ask them for help. When we arrived, there was a taxi waiting for us with all of our packed luggage loaded and ready to go. We ran up to our room to do a final check, paid for the room, and got to the airport right in time for our flight back to the states.

Needless to say, we were very thankful for their hospitality and what they did for us. Not only did we had a great experience, it definitely provide us with wonderful memories of Vietnam that we would like to revisit in the near future.
