This is an excellent restaurant providing Italian haut cuisine, with all the theatre required to set the very best apart from the best. A very good wine selection with knowledgable staff on hand to advise. The decor is sumptuous and comfortable. A very pleasing singer and trio offer soothing lounge entertainment which gently compliments the dining experience. An Italian Maitre D and head chef complete the experience with their welcome.
So good we’ve booked for our last night- recommendation indeed for a city that has some of the best native cuisine in the world.

Recently had dinner at R&J and is was first class. Being connected the The Reverie hotel we didn’t expect anything less. Beautiful presentation, excellent wine selection, delicious food, what more could you want? The restaurant is Italian fine dining. We celebrated a birthday and the staff made it very special. Thanks again to you all. Not the cheapest place to eat, but worth every penny! (£300 for four of us inc good wine). Ps try the ragu spaghetti, slow cooked 12 hours, scrumptious!

We were a family of 3 with a teenage daughter.

Fantastic atmosphere in this subterranean restaurant. Floor B1 of The Reverie Hotel. The maitre d’ is from Bologna and the Chef is also Italian so the food is authentic.

Every thing about the food was of a very high standard, beautifully prepared and the service is exceptional.

One of us had the special Easter menu, which was wonderful. The others had a la Carter and both enjoyed it.

The Tiramisu was made at the table, the first time I have seen that.

Would we go again? Yes, yes, yes!

I absolutely love the food here. Thank you very much to the manager (Michele) for treating us very well. We would definitely come back here again and hope for some more special treats from the head chef.

Producing an authentic italian experience in Vietnam must be difficult but this restaurant achieves this feat with ease - with added Vietnamese charm. The setting is gorgeous - we had an intimate place to the left of the restaurant with high-back comfortable chairs, which we would recommend. We booked a table which was not necessary but gave us some sense of what to expect. The restaurant has a dress code which is smart casual - I for one understand this and they could not be clearer in how this is advertised.

We were greeted and served by a wonderful team and the Restaurant Manager, Michele, could not have been more hospitable and welcoming. We decided to go for a 3 course - 'A la Carte' dinner. The highlights of these courses were, my starter which was the Tarpaccio - one for those who enjoy such dishes, my wife's main course Lasagne which was an intense and would suit almost any palate, but the star dish was the semifreddo which we both took - this was a delightful pleasure. The chef Tonino came and discussed his experiences which added to the sense of intimacy and friendly company, but the star turn was our waitress who was a delight.

The wine prices are about 20% higher, but this is partly due to the extra tax which can't be avoided. However, our wine which was a San Polo Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, this had wonderful jammy fruits and candied chestnut, as well as an aromatic intensity, with freshness and well-integrated tannins which were helped by the delicate and professional decantering. The singer, who did two sets while were there, had an intimate voice that matched the tone of both setting and culinary experience. All in all well worth that special treat and one that compares well with experiences in italy (in the case of Rome it tops experiences).
