Our first trip to Vietnam, we arrived to Ho Chi Minh. Before the review of the place, let me give you some advice on howto getting there...You should check the route to the hotel WELL IN ADVANCE, since it is not that simple than it seems to be (by a map for example). As you get out of the international airport (from the domestic, you have to walk 200m [650-700ft] to the left) the hotel is to 10h (I'm trying to navigate here :). Ask anybody if you are not sure. We still don'tknow if there is a quicker and easier road from the airport, but just walk left and all along the main road. Then you get to a biiig parking lot, and along that, you should get to the hotel. I'm not sure that's a big help, but hey, you always can ask someone (they barely speak any language than their native language). Getting to the entrance is another tricky story. :) We arrived at night, almost every entrance was closed. You should walk by the whole building, next to the parking lot, and when you reach the corner, take a left, there will be a park, with fountain and stuff. and the entrance is facing the airport, there you go. People are very friendly, the apartment was huge with fridge, microwave oven and you can cook on the induction cooker and also there is the A/C in the room. Nice! They have free wifi, hot shower and everything that can be useful for a couple of nights. So, service is nice altogether. There are some shops, a little market not so far (10 mins tops) where you can buy booze for the night. We had a great view on the airport, the fountain down below and the neighbors :D Stayed there only for a night, because our main destination was Nha Trang from there (and we had been traveling for 20hrs by the time we got there)

Room tip: 6th floor, 606 is facing the Airport

I agree with others who said it was a great apartment, and close to the airport. We used it for an overnight, after our stay in HCM, so we could walk to the airport for our flight. We stayed on a Sunday night in January 2017.

So we took a taxi from a district 1 to Bluesky. I printed off a one page map from the booking site, and recorded the address given, and the phone number in case there were any difficulties. The taxi driver managed it OK, though when he stopped we did not immediately see the apartment sign. We were in the right place, though.

Checkin and checkout was easy. It was the first rainy day of 2017, so we did not get the chance to use the pool. It looked excellent. We did take a practice walk to the airport. The route involves going around 100m along a road with mostly motorbike traffic to a gate where most of the bikes were turning left in to a parking lot. The sidewalk was only good for wheeling suitcases for part of the way, as the it was broken up closer to the gate. Using the road for this little bit was not a problem.

We also turned in to the parking lot, and went down to the far end. There were entrances in to a water processing plant to the right, but we just passed these by. At the end of the parking lot, there was a roundabout with slip roads. When wheeling the suitcases, we had to walk on a little bit of the road, but this was not part of the main roundabout. Basically we did a right turn here, and suddenly we were in the airport (arrivals level, international terminal). Not far along the terminal, there is a lobby off to the right where you can get a lift or escalator to departures. We did not check out the domestic terminal situation.

As to places to eat, there was not much - but it was Sunday, and we did not look very hard. There was a 24 hour convenience store on the other side of the building from the entrance. As the apartment is fully equipped, including a microwave, this was OK for us on our last night.

I think it would probably be difficult to find your way from the airport if it was dark. Someone else might be able to comment if a taxi would take you. In some cities, they wait a long time for an airport fare, so object to short rides.

This apartment worked well for us. Rather than deal with the unpredictable time to get a taxi, and negotiate the traffic to the airport, we knew exactly how long it would take, so managed a good bit more sleep and uncertainty before a log day with flights to Europe. I recommend if the logistics work for you. I am attaching a pic, which shows the airport terminal from the apartment window. It is close. As you can see there is construction nearby so the details could change, and more recent reviews could be more useful.

The apartments are well situated and only a 5 minute walk from the airport. Having said that, you can't hear the noise from the airport at all. The rooms are large and very clean. There are restaurants nearby so you don't have to cook in the kitchen if you don't want to. You can use the pool nearby which is a great way to spend some time. Their normal check out time is midday however we negotiated a 2pm check out as we were on a late flight and they were very good about storing luggage.

Room tip: The higher up you go the better the view across the grounds and pool.

I had overnight layover from saigon to siem reap. 5 short walk from the airport and didn't have to cross a dangerous intersection to get here (vietnam motocycle traffic is something to behold.) Room is very well furnished. And the price? Oh my. I doubted if I booked for a more luxury room by accident.

Well-equipped condo style accommodation. If you don’t have heavy luggage or it’s raining you can walk in 10 minutes from the arrival area to the accommodation. Shortest way is passing the parking area at arrival level. Close by 5 min walk the C.T. Plaza Mall with an excellent food court at the top level, great view over the airport.
