Excellent restaurant to try traditional Bruneian food. The Ambuyat (sago flour paste with a variety of condiments) was excellent ( had three helpings). Location is nice overlooking the Kampong Air and the new jubilee bridge.

We consisted of a 4 adults and 5 children and they accommodated us after a few minutes wait. The buffet had a very good variety, but the popular dishes (lamb chops and mutton) runs out quite quickly. Plenty to choose from for Starters - ambuyat with tempokay, sambal, chinchalok; Main courses - Nasi Kuning/Putih, mutton rendang, Chicken Korma, Fish, Prawns, vegetables; Desserts - ABC, (local) Ice Cream, Bubur cha-cha....

The location of the restaurant sits on the elbow of the Brunei river. Spectacular view of Kampong Ayer and this is also within a few meters of where the Sultan of Brunei watches the water/river parades.

Had a family sungkai (breaking of fast) and we were lucky to secure 2 tables as the restaurant was fully booked. As with the Ramadhan, 20 mins before break of fast, people would start to collect and pile food on plates in anticipation for the sungkai. Variety of dishes were great, teh tarek was one of the better ones I had in Brunei. However, Tarindak catering team was very slack in filling up the dishes once they were finished. At $25/person, it was not a cheap buffet. Ambience was good and the view of Kg Ayer at dusk was beautiful.

This waterfront buffet style restaurant provides considerable range of traditional and typical daily  Brunei food which are influenced by Malaysian and Singaporean cuisines.

There are plenty choices of both rice and noodle based dishes, and desserts at reasonable price 15 Brunei dollars per person. The dining room is clean, specious and with beautiful view of bridge, mountains, Brunei river and water villages.

Should visit tis place as you have the convenience of sampling many dishes at one dinning place with a reasonable price.

Don't forget to try one traditional and unique Brunei dish called Ambuyat (sticky and plain palm paste wraps around bamboo stick then dips into different kind of sauces of your choices, including durian sauce!) and take some pictures or videos while the cook is preparing the dish for you.

Very disappointed with the service, the hostes was not ready to welcome the guest, but busy for nothing at the cashier counter. The staff not ready to receive the tourists, the restaurant holds a completed package of tourist and can be one of the tourist attractions. Hope everything will improve and maintain the food quality.
