1.Authentic chinese dimsum - non halal- is best at "The Lucky Restaurant" at mile 1 jalan tutong. Its an old iconic chinese place and well known to most people. Sunday dimsums are very popular and packed. Be there before 9 Am to beat the rush. Another place for good authentic chinese food is "Tiam Hock Restaurant behind the Gadong Mall.
2. For Halal dimsum try "All Seasons restaurant" at Times square near the airport. Lovely ambience and tasty dishes even if its halal.
3. High end fine dining -Halal DimSums at the Dynasty Restaurant at Centerpoint -Gadong ; And the Li' Gong restaurant at The Empire Hotel.

The words, Dim Sum, usually conjure images of small servings and a lot of variety. In fact the portions are rather large, so you really don't need to order much. The restaurant name is a bit of a misnomer, but the quality of the food is very good. The decor is okay and most seating is booth style. Not upmarket, but certainly not at the bottom end either.
