You can't go wrong with the TREE Alliance restaurants. The one in Siem Reap is fabulous as well. The menu is diverse and it's like eating at a fancy restaurant for a fraction of the price. You're helping out a fantastic cause and the servers did an excellent job serving our large group. You'll walk out full for sure and you don't have to worry about food safety. One of my most memorable meals in Cambodia.

Get food and a great cause. Romdeng is part of TREE Alliance, an organisation training students to help them gain future employment. Feel free to order any dish on the menu, even if you're a cautious eater, you will be fine here! The tarantula is a specialty of Romdeng, and well wroth a taste!

The restaurant is situated in a lovely old colonial building with a lovely garden. Even if you are not fond of Khmer food it is worth wile to visit and why not trying spiders and ants for once in your life?

If you come to this place, do not skip the tarantulas. They are crunchy and simply taste like... chicken. We tried the other dishes as well and they were fine. Not great, though. But the place is cool, and has lots of souvenirs to buy. I ended up spending more money on their souvenirs than on food.

I love this place. Seating around the pool grabbing some food with cocktails is priceless. For the brave one, try the tarantulas, crispy and tasty. ;-)
