Definitely some interesting structures, but felt a little sterile compared to the areas around it. Important for ladies is that the clothes you wear hit your knees and cover your shoulders, you won't be able to wear a cover up and get in.

This is a nice palace with typical architecture. But a bit boring if you go there by yourself. Recommended to go with a guide.

A very prestigious and spectacular place to visit. You cannot help feel much of the money which should be directed towards Cambodians is spent in the ostentatious design and upkeep of these buildings. Wonderfully designed buildings and a lovely relaxing place to visit for tourists and locals alike.

The Royal Palace is a highlight of any visit to Phnom Penh and is therefore crowded. Despite the rush the place has a calm and dignified atmosphere. The buildings are beautiful but more so the roofs and carvings. The adjoining Silver Pagoda is not to be missed. Painted scenes from the Reamker/Ramayana mythology ring the courtyard. Get your guide to tell you the stories behind some of the scenes!
