I was confused when reading about the royal palace and silver pagoda on trip advisor, as it makes it sound like they are two separate things to visit. We got to the royal palace and got a guide for $5 per person (recommended) and she told us she was taking us to the silver pagoda too. Entry fee to the palace and silver pagoda is $10.25 total
So just see my review on the royal palace I guess
The only other thing to add is you are supposed to wear a top that covers the elbows and something that covers the knees but I think I can remember someone coming out with a singlet on so I'm not sure how strict the rule is. But out of respect I would do so anyway.

This is the best place to visit in Phnom Phen. Do take a guide. It cost only 10 USD. Teh rates are fixed and you can get a recipt at the counter as well

Impressive building from the outside but the name may be a bit confusing as the silver flooring is covered up with rugs.

You can see a tiny bit in the corners of the main room.

The tiny green Buddha has a necklace of diamonds on which is worth a visit.

The feel of the place is based upon Thailand’s royal palace.

Definitely worth visiting although the crowds were a little too much. The floor is now covered in carpet to try save it from the tourist masses ruining it. Get a tour guide

The Silver Pagoda, inside Royal Palace is a must to see with lot of wonderful treasures. Your knees and shoulders must be covered. Nice emerald Buddha.
