This is my go to hotel in PP... it is pretty good value, has breakfast, comfortable beds and a good toilet. Generally clean. The guard outside will help you with tuktuks, there are a few regulars hanging around outside. They are pretty reliable. There is a massage palour, on the expensive side for their skill level but then again they go to your room, so that's good. Breakfast is so so... best part being the fried eggs.
The great part of staying here is that just next to this hotel is Tour Le Jour, a French-style bakery. You can have a very nice breakfast for less than $3 next door. Cross the street for a frap at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (they make a mean Black Forest frap) and walk a bit further down from the Mekong Tower opposite the hotel to get your morning fix of Cambodian coffee and noodle soup (triple dose MSG) for less than $2. And there is a small convenience store on the other side of the hotel - snacks, toiletries, water, liquor, beer, top up cards, you've got the whole lot. And just beyond is a fast food joint that is 24 hours (BB World) and a LAN shop if that is your thing.
Very convenient spot along Monivong Boulevard, one of the three main north-south thoroughfares in central PP.More
