Spacious, clean rooms with stylish hardwood furniture.
Good beds and friendly staffs.
Centrally located but calm.
Good breakfast with a number of options, all prepared from local ingredients.
Only disadvantage is that you have to book long time in beforehand to be sure to get a vacant room....

We staued here for three nights. No elevators, you have to drag the suitcases up, but staff were helping as well, many thanks to them. The room could do with a little bit of cleaning - shelves in the toilet were amazingly dusty. There was safe, but a tiny one.TV and fridge with the minibar were in the cupboard. The bed was excellent. AC and fan available. As it was sweltering hot all the time we were not bothered by the absence of hot water in the shower - maybe even calling it a lukewarm would be exaggeration. They charged us for printing a couple of pages at the reception. Breakfast was ok, we only had light continental. Go for filter coffee from the menu since the one labelled Lao is awful. Sheets changed once after three nights, towels and room cleaning daily, as well as two bottles of water. Transport to the airport and from the airport was total 16USD. They do not serve lunch or dinner, only breakfast 7-10 (included in the room price). Staff were generally ok, though some were less friendly than others, to put it mildly. Internet worked fine, sitting in the loby was pleasant, they would always fetch water for us. I can recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a twin-room on the 3rd floor.
We loved the bed! Super comfortable. The room is also nicely furnished and very clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast despite that it is not buffet style but set menu, is with quality. Location is also good, walked out to the main road towards the river is the start of the night market.
Among the 3 hotels we stayed in Laos during our 8 days trip, by far this was the most comfortable one and yet the room rate for this hotel is only half of what we paid for the other 2.

Rooms are fine, as is breakfast. We stayed in 2013 and again several times over January and February 2016.
Manager was rude and indifferent.
We booked a VIP bus to Vang Vieng through the hotel. We relied on the hotel to ensure that services they reccommend, and for which they may received commission, was reputable.
We were taken to a pick-up point for the bus which never came. We were then offered a minibus "same price" which we refused. Finally, we were told no bus...to be brief, we returned to hotel. Our refund was tossed on the desk. As we'd checked out, the only room available was 33% more. Although, it was 4pm and room unsold, the manager refused to sell us the empty room at the price paid for the room we had vacated.
Upon returning from Luang Probang, a staff person told us that subsequent to our experince the hotel had also booked two guests with same company on a VIP bus to Thakhet, a 5 hour trip. The couple were not given assigned seats and instead had to stand in the isle.
Because we'd made reservations, prior to our bus experience, we checked in after returning from Luang Prabang. This time, we were surprised about 11AM when asked when we were leaving. Apparently a mistake was made by the hotel and they thought we were checking out that day instead of the following day. We told them clearly when booking and again, upon checking in our departure date.
Rather than squabble, we found a suitable alternate hotel within 10 minutes walk.

This is the 3 rd time we have stayed here in the last 5 years, it is always good to come back! The staff are lovely; welcoming and professional, it has a real homely feel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the air con works. The breakfast is great. Next trip to Lao we will be back.
