“Worth a stop”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

In a city with few really touristy stops this one has extra value because it has features (including statues) not seen at all other temples. The staff will provide cover-ups for bare shoulders and legs.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed 22 December 2011

There is nothing special about this temple. It is nice but if you want to see something with history I would vote for the Kelaniya Temple - not too far from Colombo

“A spiritual walk”
Reviewed 12 December 2011

I did took a day of from my stay in colombo to visit this buddhist temple and i tell you it wasnt a mistake. The architecture is really awesome and there is quite a lot to see. It also has a museum right next to it with spiraling wooden staircase to inner antiques display and center tomb with an amphitheater like construction of buddhas right next to it. The temple center has a massive buddha painted in gold with figurines of various gods worshiping it.
