We were originally decided to stay for few nights and then extended the stay because of friendly atmosphere and location. Our room was cleaned every day and the staffs were friendly.
General manager Pradeep Fernando was very helpful. As per his suggestion we had Hotel lump rice and it was excellent. Bringal Moju was so good.
Only improvement that we expect to replace mattress and pillows. Apart from that our stay was pleasant.More

I will not have any functions or visit this hotel as long as the current general manager is there. I have recommended this place to my friends and family for the service they USED to give but not anymore. The standards have gone down to a brothel. The GM was so rude to me and my friends and such a hideous person to be the head of the hotel. Don't know to solve a problem or give a option, only thing he know is to pose for pictures with women, the hotel itself is not following hygiene standards in this pandemic situation. It was a shame to see the hotel has gone down from where it use to be. Please Please Please the higher management take necessary action unless you want to loose your guests.
I stayed here 1 night with my friend. I checked in 1 hour earlier than the standard time and checked out 2 hours later. Both the receptionist guy and the cashier sweetie are very friendly and helpful. Hotel and the Room was very clean and enough space. Bathroom was clean too. The swimming pool was very nice with a temperature and just 4 feets. Breakfast served at the floor no 03 was with a small selection but filling. Food was tasty. The restaurant staff are very friendly too. The house is located in the center where it’s convenient for supermarkets, hospital and a high number of restaurants especially vegetarian. This place is very accessible for all travelers like the bus stops are near and running busses all the time. And the house just need some maintenance. Overall the house was very convenient . I loved the stay here . Thank you hotel sapphire team. Hope for another visit. Thank you very much both the receptionist guy and the cashier sweetie.

We stayed here ond night as our tour was departing from this location. Our room was old, dirty and smelt bad. The bathroom was disgusting and it looked like shower hadn't been cleaned for years. The room itself smelt mouldy and we couldn't use the aircon due to smell it was giving off. Who knows when it was last serviced. Our shower would only provide scalding hot water which actually burnt my hand. The maintenance people came and it took them nearly an hour to sort it out. I asked at reception to change rooms but they were unwilling to allow this. They were also very rude and didn't care. The maintenance people left dirty footprints in our bathroom and on the floor mat so I had to ask them to provide clean ones. The restaurant was Ok. They serve Chinese and Indian food not Sri Lankan which was disappointing although the restaurant staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. The hotel is not in a great location. So all in all I would not recommend staying here.

Although rooms are of decent size the decor and everything inside is old, stale and somewhat dirty. Dull flooring and inadequate lighting in the room provided a very claustrophobic feeling. I am glad we spent only a few hours in evening and had only 1 night stay. The saving grace was the food in the restaurant that had a set menu and was excellent for evening dinner and breakfast and would like to thank the staff for the food service.

The rooms and bathrooms are below average and the hotel needs renovation. Rooms have peculiar smell and have no balcony. The staff is not friendly and lacks hospitality. We asked manager for packing our breakfast, as we had flight at early morning and he gave an offended look.The dinner served does not meets the international standard and is not served in same style as depicted in photographs. Not recommended at all.
